This is one of the largest landscape green areas of Moscow. Here the river Baryshiha flows, on its banks rise ancient barrows on which beautiful fir trees grow. The mounds are in the east of the park, near the metro station "Volokolamskaya". Such objects appeared here a long time ago, many centuries ago. For a long time this place was not very popular. However, in the early 2000s, an active improvement of the park began.

Legends form about this place. One of them says that in ancient burial grounds not only warriors are buried, but also a myriad of treasures and riches. Nearby was a peasant community, which decided to use these riches in case of emergency. For a long time, archaeologists have tried to dig a number of excavations, but the local population was categorically against it. Still, in 1833, excavations were carried out, but everyone was greatly disappointed: in one of the burial grounds were found the skeleton of a warrior, several clay objects of utensils and other things, but there were no gold and silver there.

History of the development of the park

Now we need to talk about how the development of these lands took place and the origin of the park. This area became abandoned during the reign of Tsar Ivan the Terrible. The whole territory and barrows are overgrown with impenetrable forest. This lasted a long time, and only at the end of the XIX - beginning of the XX century the territory began to develop. However, initially there was not supposed a park zone, it was decided to build a brick factory here. But already in 1933 the territory was used for the construction of a holiday village for workers of the Moscow Bread Trust. At this place, about 60 cottages were built. The village did not last long, soon it was settled for the construction of the Mitino district.

Before the construction of the area was started, archaeologists carefully studied this area. During the excavations, a large number of objects were found, many of which had a thousand-year history. After that, the authorities decided to assign this place the status of a cultural and historical monument, which is not subject to development, they decided to break the landscape park Mitino. Now this landscaped green area pleases the eye of many visitors.
