Mini-tractor for the household is a very useful technique. With it, you can easily move and lift any cargo, collect, for example, hay or cultivate a plot. At the same time, the range of possibilities of this technique can be substantially expanded, it is sufficient to equip it with several additions only. However, today we are talking not about attachments, but about how to make a mini-tractor for the household with their own hands.

Frame

This element is the most important and necessary for most units of special equipment (including such as a mini-tractor). Therefore, in order to avoid unpleasant consequences, it is necessary to draw up a drawing or a scheme of the future design in advance. After this, you can safely proceed with its manufacture. For the frame, several lightweight metal channels should be picked up and connected together by automatic or semi-automatic welding. Pay attention also to the length of this element. The dimensions of the frame should be proportional to the dimensions of the mini tractor. The longer this element, the more extensive and all the equipment.

Other details

After the welds are welded along the contour, holes are made that will serve to attach various attachments and other elements of the structure. You should think about the footpegs, they cling to both sides of the frame. As the main material, an 8 mm steel sheet "St-3" is used here, which will also be used for the transverse bracket of the steering column. For additional strength of joints, the transverse segments are provided with "kerchiefs" made from the same steel that was used earlier for the footboards (however, the width of the sheet here will be slightly smaller, 5 millimeters).

How is the mini-tractor manufactured thereafter made ? After that, the hubs of the hinge of the bridge are welded to the front crossbeam. They will also be made of sheet metal "ST-3". The thickness of the sheet is 2 centimeters. After that, bridges (front and rear respectively) are attached to the frame.

The bridge is made from separately taken parts and assemblies, removed from similar agricultural machinery. Some use bridges from the 24th Volga
Or "Moskvich". But in our case, such details will not be used, because they simply do not fit into the dimensions of the mini-tractor. The exception is the rear axle. More details about it we'll talk a little later.

Details you need to do yourself

Such details as the bushings of the swivel, wheel and support axle shafts must be made by hand. Also a cross beam is manufactured independently. To do this, take a piece of pipe with a square section of 65x65x5 mm. If not, the beam can be made from metal corners. The bushings of the semi-axles are made of structural steel. The support-rotary mechanisms are made of pieces of a metal pipe. For this, a pipe with a cross section of 70x14 millimeters is taken and cut into several pieces with a length of 120 millimeters each. Also in them it is necessary to make seating for bearings. After this, the resulting part is covered with metal welding caps. The assembled unit is welded into the center of the beam (it should consist of 2 roller bearings and a cylindrical cage), by means of which the rolling of this bridge will be allowed.

As fastening elements of this unit, bolts and nuts of marking "M-30" should be used. They are completely attached to the entire front beam. When tightening, a special spring washer must be placed under the nut. It should be noted that with each tightening of the bolted connection you reduce the amount of backlash of the front axle with respect to the mini tractor. Thus, you will have the opportunity to adjust this node as necessary before each new performance of agricultural work.

About the rear axle

Unlike the front one, it is not necessary to make it yourself. It is quite enough to establish a standard "Volgovsky" element. But, since the width of the mini-tractor does not correspond to the dimensions of the bridge from the GAZ-24, we will have to shorten it to 80 centimeters. To do this, the fixation of the "stocking" is removed, the heads of the rivets are cut off, and the remaining part is pushed deeper. The bridge is disconnected from the gearbox casing by means of a sledgehammer with the fixation of the first element in a special mandrel.

Thanks to these actions, you will ensure docking with the reverse gear, so that the kardan will be eliminated. Also, you will no longer need to balance and install counterweights on mini tractors for dacha, which will greatly speed up the time of work.

To cut the "stockings" in the holes, cut the thread ("M-12") and screw it there screws. The resulting bridge is attached to 8 plates. The latter are welded with bolts ("M-10" of 4 per each plate) and nuts to the spars. A spring washer is used to check the connections. For this, identical plates are welded to the bridge. At the final stage, self-made brackets are installed under the hinged frame fastening. For the lifting mechanism, the shaft of the hoist is welded to the crankcase of the bridge.

Now the matter is left for small: the seat is welded to the received structure, and the whole technique is painted in one monotonous color (if desired, several differently sprayed aerosol cans can be used). At the rear, a trailing device is mounted to the technician for the possibility of working in the hitch with the plow.

This method is simpler than the previous one, however here for the execution of works you will need to have your own motoblock. In this case, it is not necessary to acquire a new one, for the tractor quite some old Soviet "Ural" or "Neva" will come down.

What we take from motoblock?

From this unit will be removed "heart", that is, the motor, which will be the main traction device of the tractor. All other parts can be started up for spare parts. In addition, during the work you will need a starting device, bridges and wheels to them. So, how are mini tractors made from a motoblock? First, a kinematic engineering system is designed. Traction forces coming from the engine of the motoblock must be transmitted through the roller chain to the intermediate shaft. Also with the help of the penultimate device, power will be transmitted to the driving wheels. On the output shaft there is a brake (belt), and the gearbox lever is mounted along the axis.
