Local History Museum, Kemerovo: history and exhibitions

Military years

The second and third museum buildings

In 1975, the museum received the second building - on the Pritomskaya Embankment. There was opened an exposition devoted to the Great Patriotic War. Since that time the department has already significantly expanded. In 1985 another building was given over to the museum - the former art gallery located on Sovetsky Prospekt. Part of the room was immediately used by the cultural institution to store the exhibits.

The first exhibition in the museum of local lore Kemerovo, opened in the third building, was devoted to the Soviet power. In 1994, a new exposition was displayed from the department of crafts and crafts. A separate wing of the building is allocated for the museum workshop of the artist A. N. Kirchanov.
