Leukopenia. Treatment of the disease.

Leukopenia is a condition that indicates a decreased number of leukocytes in the human blood. This ailment is a sign of some pathological diseases and processes. It can also indicate the presence of a separate syndrome, which causes a constant or periodic decrease in the number of leukocytes. If you have leukopenia, treatment should begin at the earliest stages of its development, as often this phenomenon occurs in cancer. After treatment of malignant tumors is accompanied by a chemotherapy procedure, which also affects white blood cells (leukocytes).

Leukopenia. Treatment

The attending physician, in the first place, prescribes pharmaceutical preparations intended to stimulate leukemia. These can be drugs that stimulate metabolic processes (methyluracil, pentoxyl, leukogen) or medications that reproduce colony-stimulating factors (lenograstim, agrarimost, filgrastim, etc.).

It is very important, first of all, to direct all the forces to the treatment of leukopenia, which appeared due to a malfunction of the bone marrow. Quite often, women have leukopenia of the cervix, this problem also requires a lot of attention.

When severe forms of the disease are prescribed drugs, obtained by genetic engineering. These include Filgrastim, Lenograstim, Molgraimost, Leikomaks. These drugs have a stimulating effect on the formation of lymphocytes and granulocytes, most often they are prescribed by cancer patients. Also, you can use them, if against a background of any serious infectious disease, there is leukopenia.

Treatment of this ailment should be carried out under the supervision of a doctor.

Causes of appearance

  • Failures in the regulation of leukopoiesis
  • Defects stem cells, transmitted at the gene level, provoking violations in their proliferation and differentiation.
  • Lack of substances important for the proliferation and maturation of leukocytes. This is folic acid, vitamin B1, B12, copper and iron.
  • A cancerous tumor metastasizes into the brain, resulting in a reduction in leukopoietic tissue.
  • The impact of chemicals (benzene, toluene, arsenic), ionizing radiation and other various destructive factors.
  • The defeat of toxins and bacterial viruses of homoeopetic brain cells.
  • Damage to stem cells (immune).

Symptoms

With leukopenia, there are signs of weakening of the body. As a result, various infections develop fairly quickly, causing fever, chills, headache, rapid pulse and anxiety. Often, inflammatory processes in the oral cavity can be noticed, small ulcers in the intestine, pneumonia and blood infection also appear. With a low content of white blood cells, there may be swelling of the glands, an increase in the spleen and tonsils.

If the above signs indicate that you may have leukopenia, treatment should be done only as directed by your doctor.

Along with medicamental treatment, you can get rid of this disease with the help of home-made infusions and broths.
