Dezo Headband

The Dezo bandage is a bandage that immobilizes a certain part of the body. It is used for minor fractures of the clavicle or humerus, and also for correcting the dislocated shoulder. This dezo dressing is also necessary for fixing the hand during the rehabilitation period after some operations on the arm or arm bones. She fixes her shoulder with her forearm to the victim's torso. To apply a bandage, most often the patient is seated, at a right angle bending his arm at the elbow.

Dezo - bandage, which is superimposed in several basic stages. The first such stage consists in pribintovyvanii a shoulder of the patient to a trunk. This is achieved by imposing circular and spiral strokes. Further, the second part of the Dezo dressing is to remove the bandage from the axillary area on the shoulder of the affected side over the breast surface. Then the bandage is led vertically down to the elbow. Having picked up the elbow with this bandage, they lead again to the healthy side, embracing the axillary hollow of the healthy side - the elbow is passed around the front and back and leads into the armpit area of the healthy side. Then all these actions are repeated.

Now a little more detail on how to apply a dressing Dezo. The doctor becomes a face to the patient, slightly powdered his muscle hollow with talc, puts him a cotton bud in his armpit. This roller is necessary to absorb sweat all the time, while the bandage will fix the hand. In general, it is very desirable to hygienic examination of the axillary region before such a procedure.

Then the doctor flexes the patient's arm at the elbow at a right angle, with the forearm toward the abdomen. Twice performs a circular tour around the patient's chest, grabbing the sick side, immobilizing the shoulder. Thus, the injured shoulder is seized by a bandage and fixed to the trunk. The second round is conducted from behind, from the underarm area of the healthy side, to the forearm of the diseased side. The third round is the continuation of the second. From the shoulder strap, the bandage is lowered over the posterior humeral surface, then from below, the forearm of the bruised or broken arm is covered, then to go to a healthy armpit and further along the back lead to the shoulder of a sick arm. On the fourth round, the bandage descends downward along the front humeral surface, the elbow of the diseased arm is covered, guided along the back again through the armpit.

The application of the Dezo bandage provides for the repetition of all these tours, except the first, three times. Three times the second, third, fourth rounds described above are repeated. After all this, the bandage should be ended with a circular tour around the patient's chest. Then the end of the bandage is fixed by pinning, and the excess part is cut off with scissors. The dressing is ready. If a prolonged fixation of the patient's hand is required, then in this case additional circular tours can be imposed with a special gypsum bandage.

Such a bandage can be imposed by a person who has no medical education and is not a trauma specialist. However, in this case, for successful imposition, it is important not only to describe the technique of execution, but to view the corresponding video, and for this you need a proper training. Perhaps you will never need to know how the bandage is applied. But, probably, someday you will have to give someone first aid in the absence of a doctor. And, perhaps, in this case, this skill will be useful to you. The application of the Dezo bandage is a simple process and is available for everyone. However, in order to learn the entire sequence, you need to practice several times.

However, I must say that in our time, people who are not doctors, it is not so necessary to learn how to apply a dressing Dezo. After all, not so long ago, a special bandage, corresponding to it, was invented. In fact, this is the dressing of Deso, but it is one-piece, made of such substances as polyester, cotton, latex, etc. It is equipped with a velcro fastener. It not only reliably fixes the limb, but also provides comfort to the patient, warms the affected area well, is suitable for both the right and left hands. For the price it is quite affordable for everyone. Applying a dezo dressing of this type is easier and faster than using a conventional bandage.
