The origin of the recipe

Preserved for the winter harvesting in the radish mistress is always a lot. But necessarily there is a can of lecho. Its caloric content depends on what is included in the composition, which, in turn, is dictated by the recipe.

It is believed that the homeland of this fragrant tomato snack is Hungary. Nevertheless, the pages of some cookbooks contain information that they invented this dish in Bulgaria or even in Serbia.

Today it does not matter where this snack appeared. There are many recipes for this popular dish, always delicious and in some cases spicy from the added secret ingredients.

Types of lecho

Lecho - a cold snack, surprising with a variety of tastes. But what remains unchanged in each recipe is a fragrant Bulgarian pepper and ripe juicy tomatoes.

Lecho with tomatoes and peppers - a simple snack, is prepared for an hour or two. You can serve for dinner on a weekday and decorate this dish with a festive table. To prepare lecho kilogram of tomatoes crushed in a blender, add to them a half kilogram of washed and chopped peppers, two tablespoons of salt, half a cup of sugar, black pepper. Mass boil for twenty minutes. Then lay out in half-liter jars, add garlic cloves to each, sterilize 20 minutes and screw it with an iron lid.

Lecho of pepper with tomato juice. The chip of this recipe is that you do not have to bother with tomatoes, so it prepares much faster. For 3 liters of tomato juice we take Bulgarian pepper - 3.5 kg, onions - 1.5 kg, sugar, vinegar 9%, vegetable oil - 200 ml, salt - 1.5 st. L. Liquid ingredients and spices are mixed and heated in a saucepan, then add the prepared vegetables and cook for twenty minutes. We lay out on banks, roll up - and in a fur coat.

Snack is served to the table cold and hot. In the second case, the constituent components are cut and frozen in the package. Then you just have to put the contents of the package in a frying pan and put out.

These are simple and affordable recipes lecho. Caloric content of the dish is not high. Therefore, it can be used in dietary cuisine.

The original recipe of the Hungarian version has in its composition not only vegetables (peppers, tomatoes, eggplants). It was often added smoked pork sausages, mushrooms, brisket, rice. Accordingly, the calorie content of this dish also increased.

This dish is delicious and not very high-calorie, the products are always available, so any hostess can cook it and serve it.
