British islands

The British Isles are in the north-west of Europe. They are the following states: Ireland, Great Britain and the Virgin Islands, which are subject to the British crown and are not part of the state.

The largest of the above is the island of Great Britain. It is England, Wales and Scotland. The population here is very polite, but prudish. All the year round there are many holidays in England.

The natural areas of the UK are rich in vegetation. This is due to the humid and warm climate.

The British Isles (Virgin Islands) is a group of islands, different in area. There are 36 in all. The largest of them are: Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Jost van Dyke, Anegada.

These lands are located near the Caribbean in the Atlantic Ocean and belong to the overseas territory of Great Britain. The population of the islands barely reaches 25 thousand people. Most of them live on Tortola. The British Isles also have their own capital, the Road Town.

Throughout its existence, the islands were captured by the Spaniards, the Dutch, the French and even pirates. However, the greatest success in this was achieved by the British. In 1072 they captured this territory. Since 1680, the British began to develop here plantations of sugar cane.

The islands are mostly flat and hilly. There are no lakes and rivers. There are some problems with drinking water. They are solved with the help of desalination plants. The animal and plant world does not differ in variety. Over the centuries, it was gradually destroyed by people, and today the islanders can not boast of a rich flora and fauna.

One of the most developed spheres of the economy is tourism. Each year, about 800,000 tourists from different countries visit the islands. The British islands attract them with a hot, tropical climate. It's warm all year round. From July to October, there are often hurricanes that can spoil the rest a little. It is worth remembering that it takes 5-7 days a month to rain. The most favorable time for rest is from December to April. At this time, there is the largest influx of tourists. Accordingly, prices will be relatively higher than, for example, in the summer.

Many tourists come here to see the magnificent residences of English aristocrats. These fabulous structures did not lose their greatness over time and as before they conquer at first sight. As for entertainment, the British Isles offer them in abundance.

Fans of night walks will be happy to visit local bars, restaurants and clubs. Dancing and holiday here lasts all night. No one will remain disappointed.

Very popular on the islands is sailing. Since 1972, there is a seven-day Spring Regatta. This amazing spectacle will be remembered for a long time. Infinite reefs, coral peaks, amazing underwater caves with lava tunnels, grottoes and countless marine life make these places incredibly attractive for divers. There are more than a hundred of such zones here. The most popular of them are located near the islands of Green Kay, Little Yost-Van Dyke and Sendy-Kay. And, of course, what kind of rest can do without beaches and gentle waves? In the British Isles there are plenty of them, of all shapes and sizes. For couples with children, calm, even beaches with white sand are perfect. And lovers of surfing is better to go to where the endless waves are raging.

For those who want to go shopping, it's better to go to Road Town. Here you can find beautiful leather products, as well as many different souvenirs.

It is worth noting that the cost of services in hotels and restaurants, as a rule, is included in the bill and is 10% of its total amount. Hospitality and high qualification of the personnel make the rest easy and pleasant. Once you arrive here, you will want to come back again.
