Lamborghini Reventon, a powerful supercar of Italian origin

Lamborghini Reventon, a supercar, was first shown at the 2007 Auto Show in Frankfurt. Today it is the most powerful and expensive Lamborghini model of manual assembly. Limited edition

Later it became known that the release of Lamborghini Reventon was expanded from 20 to 100 copies, but this amount is also a "drop in the bucket", given the number of people who want to own a supercar. The cost of the car is about $ 2 million, but this does not affect the demand. Nevertheless, Lamborghini can not afford releasing Reventon even with a small series, since the model will immediately lose its exclusivity.

origin of name

The name "Reventon" got the car from the famous bull called Reventon, an ominous, fearless animal that grew up on the farm of breeder Don Eriberto Rodriguez. May 30, 1943 the bull went into the arena, where he met with the bullfighter Felix Gusman. Reventon killed him, ripped off the stomach and left hip of the matador with his horns.

Lamborghini supercars are traditionally called the names of famous fighting bulls, somehow distinguished in the course of bullfighting. Model Lamborghini Diablo was so named in honor of the bull of the Devil, which belonged to the Spanish duke of Veragua. The model Murcielago received the name from the nickname of the bull, the owner of which was Vincent Perez de Laborda. Murcielago was invincible, in the end he was no longer allowed to enter the arena, and he became an elite bull-producer.

Model Lamborghini Veneto, was named after the Veneto bull, aggressive to rabies. August 2, 1914 the bull killed the matador Jose Sanchez Rodriguez, breaking his head with a horn.

The Aventador model is named after one of the fiercest bulls in the history of the Spanish bullfight, Aventador. In his last fight, the bull showed so much courage that when he was killed, he was posthumously awarded a special prize for courage.

The Odessa version of Reventon

A unique copy of the Lamborghini Reventon was created by a master craftsman from the Ukrainian city of Odessa, named Alexander. Thirty years old enthusiast brilliantly coped with the task, sacrificing his creative impulse own car Mitsubishi Eclipse. Lamborghini Reventon turned out to be famous, at least outwardly it can not be distinguished from the original. The power plant Mitsubishi Eclipse is twice inferior in parameters to the engine of Reventon, the number of cylinders is 6 to 12, the volume of cylinders is also half as much - 3.8 liters. The power is about 200 hp, which is enough to give the necessary dynamism to a self-made supercar.

The work took two years, the most laborious was the front end of the car, it was necessary to create a frame in the 3D dimension, to adjust the joints, the process is very complicated, because the conditions of the home workshop are far from perfect. Nevertheless, when the frame was ready, the master proceeded to the plating. The original material, carbon, Alexander was not, so for plating had to use ordinary sheet steel. The car promised to be heavy, but no options were foreseen. Connections of steel sheets were welded with a dotted line using a welding machine, and this method justified itself, the design turned out to be quite rigid. Currently, the self-made supercar Lamborghini Reventon is traveling along the streets of Odessa.
