Labor productivity is a measure of the efficiency of labor

Any work is organized in order to obtain a specific result, at the output of which the products, service or other goods are expected to be produced. For any labor collective the fruitfulness of labor and the quality of the products produced is important. Can labor productivity be achievable and achievable ? The definition of this issue makes it possible to measure the effectiveness, quality and fruitfulness of labor. The main advantage of this method of measurement is lightness, clarity and convenience. And the downside of this method is that it can not be used in those industries where a wide range of products is produced, in different packagings and packages. One of the varieties of the natural method of measurement is the use of conditionally-natural units. In doing so, use conversion factors, where different types of products and goods are recalculated into conditional ones. In turn, conditional production is understood as the produced products in a larger quantity.
  2. The cost method . Productivity of labor is a division of the produced products, which is expressed in a value unit, by the number of employees of the organization involved in the production process. The only drawback of this method is the change in the price of products, which affects the index of labor productivity.
  3. The method is laborious . In this method, labor productivity is calculated in man-hours and man-days, which are divided by the volume of output calculated in physical terms. This species is used quite rarely, as it requires careful standardization of labor. But most often only work of the basic workers is normalized, and the account of work and other expenses of other workers remains not captured, that complicates application of the given method of measurement.

Another criterion of measurement: the productivity of labor is the amount of labor expended and time per unit of output.

Leaders of many organizations often think about how to increase labor productivity, using intangible and non-monetary factors and motives. American founders of the concept of effective management T. Peters and R. Waterman wrote that the main influence and impact on labor productivity are not working conditions at all, but the attention that managers pay to staff. As often happens, employees are in no hurry to have time to finish all the workload on time, very often go out to smoke, engage in personal affairs during working hours. Therefore, many employers use effective systems of personnel motivation and methods of managing human resources. Such used methods are justified by their effectiveness, because labor productivity is the quantity of output produced by one employee per unit of time.

It's not even about the amount of wages, bonuses and bonuses, but that the essence of a person requires constant moral support, motivation and regular encouragement. Sometimes a simple human "thank you" plays a huge role in shaping the loyalty and commitment of employees to the organization. Knowing and feeling the support of the employer, the employee knows that his work is appreciated, he is heard and listened to, encouraged by his initiative and responsibility, such small but significant moments at times increase the worker's productivity.
