Jelly is a favorite treat for those who watch their weight. It is voluminous, perfectly saturated and at the same time has a moderate calorie content. Of course, it all depends on what products were used in the process of making jelly. In this article we will give an average description of jelly and several recipes for its preparation.

General definition and use of jelly. Caloric value averaged

This is a food product that has a gelatinous consistency. It is achieved due to such additives as agar-agar, gelatin, pectin. Due to the fiber content it is good to saturate, leaving no gravity. By default it is considered a dessert, but it can be unsweetened, for example - jellied.

In this recipe we will tell you how to prepare a delicious low-calorie dessert with raspberries and green basil. Despite its simplicity, it will be an excellent end to the meal:

  • Fresh raspberries - 750 grams;
  • Basil - 5 branches;
  • Apple juice - 370 ml;
  • Water - 225 grams;
  • Gelatin high-speed - 15 grams;
  • Sugar - 125 grams.

So, raspberry jelly. Caloric content per 100 grams will be 39 kcal, proteins / fats / carbohydrates - 1.5 / 0 / 8.1.

Cooking?

Soak in 150 ml of apple juice gelatin, allow to swell.

Mix raspberries, remaining apple juice, sugar and basil. Put on a small fire and bring to a boil, constantly stirring. The sugar must completely dissolve.

Strain the mass through a sieve. Just take it to squeeze all the juice from raspberries. Put again on the fire and add the soaked gelatin.

Stir thoroughly and remove from heat, not allowing boiling.

Pour the mixture over the keramaks and refrigerate until completely hardened.

Recommended to serve with fresh berries.

Jelly bilberry and lemon on agar

A fine dish with a sour taste and a rich taste of berries. All products of plant origin - can be included in the menu for people who do not eat foods of animal origin:

  • Blueberries - 400 grams;
  • Lemon juice - 100 grams;
  • Crushed lemon zest with 2 lemons;
  • Agar-agar - 6 grams;
  • Water - 600 grams;
  • Sugar - 100 grams.

In this bilberry-lemon gel, the calories, proteins / fats / carbohydrates per 100 grams will be: 57 kcal, proteins / fats / carbohydrates - 0.5 / 0 / 13.7.

Preparation

Rub your fingers with lemon zest and a half sugar. This measure will provide you with a more flavorful dish.

Add the sugar-lemon mixture to 400 grams of water, bring it to a boil on low heat and strain.

Mix the other half of sugar with agar-agar. Pour the resulting mixture into the remaining water, bring to a boil. Cook, constantly stirring, for a minute.

Mix the lemon syrup and the mixture with the agar, stir until homogeneous.

On 4 kremanku evenly lay out the previously washed and dried blueberries for jelly. Caloric value of the number of berries does not increase, but the taste will be more saturated.

Slightly cool the lemon mixture so that it does not soak berries, and evenly cover it with blueberries.

Put the kremakovki in the refrigerator and wait until it is completely solidified.

This recipe is quite universal - you can take any fruits and flavors for syrup, each time getting a new full dish.

Before serving, completely cool the treat. Its caloric content, of course, will change if you add whipped cream at the time of serving, but the taste will be more rich.
