By some miracle, Jason avoids the enemy bullets and falls from a high ledge into the river, then wakes up in an unfamiliar tent where the insurgent group found shelter. It is the latter that will give us most of the story missions, and also teach the player various wisdoms of survival in the jungle, which Jason Brodie so much needs. Far Cry literally captures this element with its head.
