Does this mean that the game was inactive for three years? Naturally, no. At the end of 2011, closed beta testing was launched, then it was extended by sending invitations to friends. Then the closed testing was replaced by an open one, in which everyone was able to take part. And when the developers decided that everything was already polished to the maximum, the official full version of the game "Dota" appeared. But for this article the general process is secondary. Beginning of development: January - April 2011

Naturally, work on the new project was carried out until 2011, but it was the characters who started to appear in the game already at the beginning of this year. That is, the story of the heroes of Doty-2 begins in January 2011, when the hero Slardar was added on the 18th. Of course, he is present in the game and still, frightening all opponents with his skills to stun. After that, almost a whole month, work was done to correct the errors identified by the testers, various additions and improvements were developed. And only on February 12 was announced the introduction into the process of a new hero - the Enigma. This character had the opportunity to create his own copies, make the opponents weaker, and also acquired a powerful ult - the creation of the Black Hole. But this was only the beginning, because in a week the developers were pleased with the fact that they added to the project three heroes right away - Failes Wojda, Viper and Taini. Interesting is the fact that the first characters were all related to Dyre, that is, to the forces of evil - only Taini was a Radiant. Void got the opportunity to deal with time (and his final face, incidentally, he did not get right away), Viper got a rich arsenal of poisons, well, Tiny became a rather unusual character. His figure grows in parallel with his pumping, becoming more and more - of course, each of the options can be used to your advantage. March came out not very fertile in terms of new characters, but April pleased with just five newcomers. They were Natural Prophet, Klokverk and Sniper from the side of Dobra and Venomanser with Dark Cyr from the side of Evil. The first character was able to control the forces of nature, the second was equipped with a special harpoon and powerful metal armor, and the third - a rifle, which hits the enemy from a huge distance. As for the dark heroes, everything is simple here - Venomanser mixed in himself the features of the poisoner and the necromancer, and Dark Cyr uses his cunning, as well as forces from another dimension. Naturally, the story of the Doty-2 heroes does not end there - it's just the first step, followed by many more.

Mass addition of heroes: May - July 2011

Since May, a massive increase in the characters - the story of the heroes of Doty-2 has become much more saturated. May 20, were added Pugna and Bistmaster - the first hero has powerful abilities that can seriously damage the enemy, and the second can call on various animals to help. Less than a week, as in the "Dot" appeared three more characters - Shadow Fid, Enchantress and Leshrack. The first, definitely evil, has the ability to absorb souls, then use them against enemies, the second - on the contrary, definitely kind, which can enchant and create copies. Well, as for Leshrack, this is the exact opposite of Enchantress. He also uses the forces of nature, but in evil, to destroy and destroy, and also to bring himself benefits. In June, the situation changed a little - instead of large updates, developers focused on small ones, but this made them even more. And with each update a new character entered the game. The first to be added was Tinker, who does not have any special abilities, but is very good at handling weapons. Followed by him followed by Weaver - a creature that looks like a bug, which has incredible speed and agility. Then Knight Stalker was added - one of the first confirmations that the change of time of day in the new "Dot" will be of great importance.

June 17 was released a more impressive update, which added two characters at once - this is Enshen Appearance and Spectrum. Both heroes belong to the dark forces, only the first completely subdued the elements of ice, and the second with the help of a spectral dagger is able to instantly teleport to the enemy to commit a lightning-fast insidious attack. Well, at the end of the month, there was another update, which many were waiting for - a character named Doom Bringer appeared in the game. This hero can devour his and others' creeps, cast curses and create a hell of rain. It looks impressive, and talk about it has been going on for a long time.

After such a busy two months in July, there was only one new character - Chen. He is able to subordinate animals to his will and use the power of his faith for the good of the allies. It happened on the first of July, and after that only the characters that were left from the first part of the DotA were added, as well as those already added. Thus, in "Dota 2" heroes for beginners - this is all who was before the development of the second part. After all, they already have certain guidelines and enough information. Beginning beta testing: August - November 2011

August was completely laid by developers to fix bugs, so there were no new characters in the game, "Dota-2." Heroes for beginners did not stand out against the others, as they were also earned and made quite different from what was in the first part. September also turned out to be loaded in terms of testing and fixing errors, so this month in the project there was only one new character - Juggernaut. But in October the developers again took up the creation of characters, and already on the sixth day in the game appeared Kunkka and Blackjacker. The first became a kind of knight-pirate, fighting on the side of good, and the second - a terrible offspring of Darkness, ready to drink the blood of any oncoming. After that, the project was introduced to the hero of Ricky, who is a pure assassin - he imperceptibly enters the battlefield, attacks the enemy from the rear and disappears. Then came the time of an impressive update for Dyre - three more characters came to the side of Darkness: Brudmazar, Queen of Pain and Skeleton King. The first heroine is the mother of spiders, who can create a dense and sticky web, and also call for the help of her children, the second is a succubus, for which life is pain, and the pain of others, and she gladly causes it. And the third character is a skeleton that is possessed by a thirst for murder. In general, the company Evil has replenished with powerful heroes.

But this month did not end - another big update brought in the game Batrydera, Juskar and Yakiro. The first, who appeared on the side of darkness, as is clear from his name, travels at bat, is able to drag the enemy to the distance, where he will deal with him one on one. The second is a valiant warrior who has the ability to receive strength from his own pain, and then turn the life of the enemy into real suffering. And the third is a dragon with two heads, one of which spews a flame, and the other - an ice. When November came, the developers did not calm down. On November 3, the keys for closed beta testing were sent out and along with this two new heroes appeared in the project, Dragon Knight and Omninite. Both are on the Good side, only one is a knight with the blood of dragons, and the second is a typical paladin who can both attack with the sword and heal the allies. Already during the testing, Warlock and Alchemist were added to the game. The first is a master of dark magic, able to summon a huge Golem, and the second is a talented potions specialist who rides on Ogre's shoulder. That's how the game "Dota-2" became so unusual. Photos of the characters, of course, began to appear on the network, and everyone was delighted with what the new project turned into. But progress was not going to stop or slow down.

December 2011, January-February 2012

The end of the year was marked by the fact that four more characters were added to the game "Dota-2". Photos of the heroes instantly appeared on the relevant resources, so the closed testing gradually became obsolete, and the developers began to plan the transition to the open version. As for the characters themselves, it was Lifestyle, Death Prophet, Ursa and Bounty Hunter. Naturally, they were all added during the individual updates, but in the order that was listed above. The Lifstyleer eats its opponents, Death Prophet is an analog of the famous ghost of the Banshee, Ursa is a bear person, a powerful warrior and a serious opponent, and Bounty Hunter is a bounty hunter that combines anatomy and martial arts.

The new year began with the fact that DotA had four more characters in the course of the three January updates. First, Spirit Wheel Breaker and Silenser joined the company. One of them came from another world, can move incredibly fast, destroying everything in its path, and the other specializes in depriving opponents of the ability to read spells and use abilities. Then was added the Invowker, the strongest dark magician, who knows a huge amount of spells. And the month ended with the addition of a frightening Klinkts. March - May 2012

But you can not stop this review of the heroes of "Dota-2", because they are full. And they added them not immediately, but gradually. More than a week passed before there was a new update with another hero - this time Rubik became a novice. And at the end of the month there were two more unusual characters in the game that retained this glory throughout the life of the project - Luna and Io. The next month was no less fruitful. On July 5th Disruptor and Anding were presented. A week later, Templar Assassin also appeared, and in another week - Naga Sirens. But it was just the beginning - at the end of the month there was a big update, with which three heroes entered the game - Nix Assassin, Kiper of the Light and Visage. After such an abundance of heroes, August treated without any updates, and September was remembered only by the appearance of a strange creature called Mipo. Of course, this is not the best hero in "Dota-2", but he has his pluses. And everyone determines the best for himself.

End of the year: October - December 2012

As it became clear later, the summer of 2012 was the culmination of the heroes' theme in DotA. After that, the addition went into decline. New characters appeared on a permanent basis, but with large interruptions and a little bit. Of course, you should also learn about their appearance - perhaps, among them there is the best hero in "Dota-2" personally for you. In early October, the world saw Magnus, and in the end, the Centaur Warraner joined him. In November, a year after the launch of DotA, Stark was added to the beta for the first time, and the event was not timed to a significant day - the hero appeared on the 15th. Well, before the new year, in the middle of December, the developers made a gift to gamers and presented Timbersow, a rather original and impressive character. But many are interested in the new hero "Dota-2" - Oracle. Why until now there was not a word about him? In the new year - with new characters: January - March 2013

As it was said before, no more mass updates were expected with a huge number of characters. Developers of "Dota" immediately announced that in a month will appear one at a time, a maximum of two beginners. That's why the new hero "Dota-2" Oracle arrived so late - too many characters appeared before him. It is about them that we will now speak. In early January, there was an update, which came in the game Medusa, and after it at the end of the month followed the troll Warlord. In mid-February, another hero was added - Tusk, but Bristlebek had to wait until the end of March. But gamers already had something to do - they had plenty of characters at their disposal, so the newcomers were just a pleasant bonus, which greatly expanded the universe of the game. Each new hero in "DotA-2" was still a holiday, which the players waited impatiently.

Time of completion: April - July 2013

Naturally, the developers did not just abandon their project - they began to devote more time to refinements, corrections, fixes of balance and other similar cases. Therefore, the next new hero in DotA-2, Skywright Mag, was once again alone in his add-on, but with him the model for one of the characters was changed, and for a number of others, new types of animation were added . On May 2, the game community waited for another new hero - the Titan Elder. But then the most varied mass improvements, improvements and fixes already went, and the next character appeared only on July 12 - it was Abaddon. Already at that time the test of all the heroes of "Dota-2" took a huge amount of time. But each new character still brought an unprecedented amount of pleasure.

Until the end of 2013

November 14 - that's when the next two heroes appeared. Gamers had to wait a very long time. As you remember, the last update, bringing a new character, happened more than four months ago. Amber Spirit and Earth Spirit are those who have made the test of all the heroes of "Dota -2" even more extensive. On December, 10th users waited a small surprise - Skeleton King disappeared from the game. Everyone was waiting for what would happen, but on the 12th, only a new hero was added - Legion Commander. And suddenly on December 13 there was an unusual turn - Skeleton King was returned to the game, but renamed King's Gate. Naturally, all the textures and animations were changed, like the hero's abilities. Thus, Skeleton King became one of those who are called "unreleased heroes" Dota-2. "

year 2014

Unfortunately, the year 2014 can not boast of a large number of new characters. The unreleased heroes of DotA-2 are a separate topic for discussion, but the freshest characters are something more interesting.
