Is drama a substitute for tragedy?

Not in the headline I put the question this way - I was wondering if this is really so. Therefore, she read a lot of information and concluded that the drama is a literary genre that replaced the tragedy and became one of the three main ones along with the comedy.

Similarity with comedy is in reflecting the everyday life of people, reproducing absolutely standard situations. But the goals of these two genres are diametrically opposed. The comedy is to ridicule these vital "woes", the drama is to tell about a person's conflict with himself, his environment, society, but without showing the desperation of the situation.

It is believed that the drama dates back to the 18th century, when European playwrights organized the so-called "Meshchanskaya Drama", which for the most part described family problems and described everyday situations.

Probably, therefore, for many of us, due to the reflection of everyday life's vicissitudes, drama is close. The definition of this concept, as you have already understood, is ambiguous. Let us turn to several of the most popular interpretations.

Firstly, the drama is, as was said above, a genre of literature, most often built in the form of a dialogue, different from the tragedy by the existence of resolved problems and more mundane relations between individuals , individuals and society.

Secondly, the drama is a genre of cinematography, which in its essence is similar to a literary colleague. Here, in the first place is also a person who is acutely aware of the existence of problems in his life, tries to resolve these problems, find a compromise and move away from conflicts.

In the process the hero of the film experiences various emotions, his thoughts are reflected in the form of monologues, which are very important for the drama. They help us to better understand the feelings and inner anxiety of people who have fallen into different life situations.

As a rule, there are no more than two or three storylines in the pictures, the main characters are not numerous, but each of them is experiencing an acute conflict, no matter whether it is internal or interpersonal.

One of the most popular varieties of this genre is psychological drama. For sure, each of us saw at least one such film, but as it turned out, there is a joke among the directors: "If it's difficult to understand the style of the picture, then write that it is a psychological drama." The definition of this concept plays a secondary role.

Thus, it is incorrect to believe that any movie with a corresponding note refers to the above genre. As experts note, the psychological drama is very exotic, and not every film is able to hold up to this title.

Often when viewing such paintings, we experience some discomfort, we may not understand the actions of the characters, some of which we frankly attribute the behavior of a madman. But what is most surprising, we will be fascinated by the psychological drama with every minute of viewing more and more, because only there the events sometimes lose touch, the characters violate the rules, there may even be a note of unreality.

But all this, strangely enough, by the end of the film from the vague mass turns into a picture with a clear outline, and all the events that occurred during the viewing hour are lined up in a logical chain. Surprisingly, it's very difficult to describe emotions from such a movie, so I advise everyone who has not seen a drama in this spirit, rather, it's a fix.

Thus, the drama is not only a literary genre, known for its peculiarities to us from school, but also a remarkable component of the film industry. It can not but rejoice that there are directors who specialize specifically in this field and create wonderful pictures that are undoubtedly worth a look.
