In most cases, the size and form of texts on Internet pages and in the computer system itself is chosen taking into account the convenience for users. First of all, the font of such text should be well readable, then - depending on the final goal. For example, advertising placed on various sites is often signed by a bright, screaming and all its kind of attention-grabbing font.

However, each person has his own, individual characteristics of perception. For various reasons, some people may think the text is too small, or vice versa. This overstrains the eyes, and significantly increases the burden on the human visual and central nervous system. If you do nothing, there is a risk of getting a headache, fatigue or blurred vision.

How to increase the font on your computer

When you need to consider something on a separate section of the screen, it's easiest to use a magnifying glass. This is a built-in function in the system, which is present on almost every computer. You can start the program from the "Special Features" menu, which, in turn, is in the list of standard programs of the start menu. Using this function is very simple: just move the mouse to any part of the text or image, and its increased version will be shown at the top.

But how to increase the font in the entire window, so as not to treat it in pieces with a magnifying glass? If we want to make the text size larger in all windows of the system, then this is done in the properties. In Windows, the right window can be called directly from the desktop area, by clicking the right button. The menu that appears after this will be familiar to most users. Here you need to go to the "Appearance" tab and select the required font size in it. You can also assign a dimension to individual screen items by clicking the Advanced button in the same tab.

How to increase the font in an Internet browser

Usually on most sites, they try to find the optimal design and, accordingly, a text that is sufficiently digestible for visitors. It is in their own interests: with a huge abundance and diversity of Internet resources, no one will linger where it is impossible to read anything. People find it easier to find a site with a more pleasant design, which does not load your eyes. But there are times when you can not find similar content on the Web. Then you have to look for ways to increase the font on the page, making it more readable.

Fortunately, modern browsers provide an opportunity to solve this problem. For example, in Mozilla, you can individually adjust the scale for any element on the page. This is done through the "View" tab. Next, you need to open the subsection responsible for the scale, and customize the latter to your liking. Here you can tick the "Text only" item, so that the remaining items remain static during the increase.
