Installation of gutter system: execution instruction and process features

The drainage and drainage system is an indispensable element of each house. Thanks to it, both the foundation and the walls of the house can serve much longer. In modern construction, drainage structures made of plastic are most often used. The fact is that they are resistant to corrosion, atmospheric drops, damage, and they are well cleaned.

Proper installation of the drainage system is a guarantee of a long-term operation at home. The structure for draining the water consists of several elements: gutters into which water flows from the roof, pipes through which water is delivered down, and fittings. Naturally, in each set there are special fasteners, with which the elements are screwed to the roof and walls. Gutters can have any shape (semicircular, square), depending on the design of the house. If the pipes need to be bent, special bends are used which have a different bending angle. To ensure that the structure is not clogged, special meshes and baskets can be installed in the pipes and on the chutes. To water does not accumulate under the roof, you can install special droppers.

Installation of the drainage system can be done with your own hands, because the procedure is not complicated. It is only necessary to correctly calculate the height of the joining of the gutters, as well as the number of necessary elements.

In order to make a qualitative installation of drainage system, the instruction assumes a certain sequence of works.

First of all, you need to fix the gutter brackets. Do it in such a way that the snow, which will slide down from the roof in winter, does not break the gutter. In this case, water should flow into the gutter, not past it.

It should be noted that the drainage system, installation of which is mandatory for both single-storey and multi-storey houses, should be fixed with a certain bias: 5 mm per meter. Fastening of brackets is made on the cord stretched with an inclination.

Further, the gutters are fastened. This procedure is not difficult, since it is enough to put the elements in the brackets and snap them. The joints of the elements can be sealed. After that, a plug is glued to the gutter.

The joints of the chutes are lubricated with glue, and it must be taken into account that the element can expand, so the joints must be some distance from the bracket.

Further, the installation of the drainage system assumes the attachment of the outlet funnel. In the places of its direct installation it is necessary to cut out the hole. After it is cut out, the edges of the element are cleaned.

In order for the design to fully meet the needs of the house, corner elements may be needed. The angle to the gutter is pushed as far as it will go. For the strength of the joint edges of the elements, it is better to grease with glue. In the same way, the knees are joined together.

Installation of drainage system, namely - pipes, is made using special clamps. They prevent the expansion of the pipes. For this reason, you can not use adhesive for bonding. By means of a flange, a lower drain can be attached to the pipe, which must be taken to the sewage system.
