Infertile marriage

Infertile marriage is considered one of the most difficult and important problems of a medical and social nature. According to WHO, in such families, pregnancy does not occur within twelve months with regular sexual contacts without the use of contraceptives, provided that both spouses are of childbearing age.

In the territory of Russia, infertile marriage is a fairly common phenomenon. The share of such families is about 8-17.5 percent. However, their number does not tend to decrease. It is believed that if the number of infertile marriages exceeds fifteen percent, then the problem acquires state dimensions. This is due to the fact that this problem has an impact not only on individuals, but on the whole society as a whole, reducing the professional and social activity of this population group. That is why an infertile marriage today occupies a leading place in a number of medical problems. The restoration and preservation of reproductive health, in turn, is becoming an important medical task of national importance. Its decision forms the possibility of preserving the gene pool and reproduction of the species.

Diagnosis today is carried out using modern ultrasound, hormonal, endoscopic methods. Based on the results obtained, it becomes possible to select the optimal method of treatment in a fairly short time. Today, highly informative diagnostic techniques are used.

It should be noted that infertile marriage can be a consequence of reproductive disorders both in one and in both partners.

Older women often turn to modern centers. These patients, as a rule, for a long time and unsuccessfully underwent treatment in medical centers that were not adequately equipped with the necessary equipment. Many experts note the high efficiency from the use of modern equipment and advanced technologies in the field of reproductive health.

In recent years, male infertility has acquired special significance . The causes of reproductive disorders are very diverse. The most common are diseases of an infectious-inflammatory nature, the impact of the environment, uncontrolled and frequent use of medicines. An important factor is the increased prevalence of abnormalities in the development of the organs of the reproductive system.

It is necessary to say that the ineffectiveness of many methods of treatment using methods of assisted reproduction (for example, eco with donor egg , etc.), different forms of miscarriage (spontaneous miscarriages, frozen pregnancy) can be caused exclusively by the "male" factor.

Disorder of reproductive function in the spouse is very often provoked by violation of patency of the vas deferens or formation of spermatozoa (spermatogenesis). In about half of the cases, infertility in men is accompanied by a decrease in the qualitative or quantitative characteristics of sperm. Among the many provoking factors, it is difficult for specialists to determine the most common ones. These factors can be of a different nature. So, the disorders can arise as a result of physical influence (the influence of low or high temperatures, radioactive and other radiations), chemical (exposure to various toxic compounds, medicines, etc.), biological (pathology of internal organs, infections transmitted through sexual contact), Social influence (stressful situations). The reasons for the development of infertility can be associated with the development of hereditary pathologies of the endocrine nature, autoimmune disorders - the production of antibodies to the body's own cells (spermatozoa, for example).
