Incomplete higher education. Features, pros and cons

Unfinished higher education has become very popular in Russia. So, what is this concept? What does it mean?

In fact, an incomplete higher education is 3-4 years, which the student has disaccustomed to at a university or institute. That is, a former student has knowledge that gives for the first three years of training, but there is no diploma. However, such education is not quoted in every company. In some enterprises, the incomplete higher education is not even considered as a plus to the candidate's resume.

The spread of this type of education is primarily associated with elementary psychology. Often, to the third year of the university, the initial euphoria from the school change to the institute ends. The student increasingly thinks about whether he chose the right profession. Also do not forget that the third - fourth year of the university student 19-20 years. It is at this time that there is a serious crisis of 20 years, characterized by an irresistible desire to change the situation.

Also, often girls drop out of school on the third or fourth year because of marriage or pregnancy. To combine motherhood and education is not possible for every girl.

Do not forget about the elementary desire to work and earn. Especially violently this desire is manifested in a person by the age of 20. By devoting maximum time to the work, the student forgets about the elementary attention to learning. Thus, the indicator of progress and attendance is reduced. A student either leaves the university on his own or is expelled. In either case, the student has the right to indicate in any questionnaire and resume that he has an incomplete higher education.

After finding out the reasons, you can begin to find out the pros and cons of unfinished higher education. Let's start with the pluses.

Some employers pay attention to the presence of such education in the candidate for the position. Unfinished higher education is a guarantee of basic knowledge. It is important to take into account that practically every employer asks a question about why higher education was not received.

Also, the presence of unfinished higher education is a small plus for a resume. Such education makes the candidate a candidate for vacancy in comparison with applicants who did not study at the university.

However, it is worth considering the disadvantages of unfinished higher education.

First, the downside is that a graduate always has a large stock of knowledge and skills than a person with an incomplete higher education. This is understood by employers. Simply put, being an expert is better than a person with an unfinished higher education.

Also keep in mind that an incomplete higher education is not documented in any way. In addition, this education is not quoted by every employer. Many teachers are skeptical of the unfinished higher. They say that education, like any other process, should have a complete, full-fledged character. Otherwise, the competence of the specialist can not be guaranteed.

In the Soviet Union, this practice was not common at all. Specialists were considered only those who received a full and complete education. Such specialists had a diploma.

Incomplete higher education has become widespread in Russia only since the late 90's, when there was a shortage of specialists. Due to the deficit, even such job applicants were quoted. However, in modern Russia, there is no such shortage of personnel, therefore, incomplete higher education often becomes not an advantage of the applicant for the position, but, on the contrary, one of the drawbacks.
