In any case, the necessary knowledge will be provided to you. Recruiting agency (any) pays more attention to the personal qualities that our current employee should possess. What is it about?

The first and most important feature in our list is sociability. The head of the HR department, and any employee who is engaged in recruiting staff, should not be a misanthrope. Only a sociable and open person is able to predispose the applicant to a dialogue, to convey important information to him and not scare him away.

In principle, here you can include friendliness. If at the interview a potential applicant sees a manager who is constantly tense, sits with a stony face, and moreover communicates concisely and roughly, the overall impression of the corporation spoils. Sometimes too much. Only an open, sociable and friendly person can achieve success in HR. The personnel selected by such a citizen, as a rule, does indeed meet the requirements of the employer.

Stress resistance

Further - it is resistance to stress, restraint. Without this feature, you are unlikely to succeed in the field of recruitment. Why? Communication with people is good. Only when it is permanent, and even with different personalities, stress will be noticeable immediately. Not everyone likes to communicate, not all have to themselves.

In addition, the very choice of employees for the corporation is a responsible occupation. And it, of course, also affects the nervous system. The result is the stress with which you need to cope. After all, an HR specialist must always be open, friendly and restrained. A certain role is played by a high responsibility - in fact, you decide who will work in the corporation and who will not. This is not an easy decision!

People who are susceptible to mild excitability and nervous breakdowns will never succeed here. Firstly, communication with applicants will start to strain, and secondly, finding the right candidates will become more difficult and difficult each time. It will affect your career.

Ingenuity

Do not forget that the HR-specialist should be not only responsive and restrained, but also resourceful, active. Ideally, the recruiting manager is a lyber in the company. He always develops some motivational concepts, manages to correctly select new applicants for the firm, and also conducts competent training of personnel.

The lack of creativity, in principle, is not so scary. In time, if you have the other qualities, learn everything. The main thing is to have a motivation for this. Then and only then it will be possible to achieve a certain result.

Business Communication and Psychology

Often the usual friendliness is not enough to build a literate dialogue. Therefore, very often the HR specialist should have the skills of business communication. And, of course, have some knowledge of psychology.

These employees are very good at selecting staff. They achieve success and advancement in career in the shortest terms. Often it is necessary to somehow entice applicants, to embellish reality. This should be done taking into account the psychology of a person, so that he does not guess about deception. Otherwise, you will lose all applicants.

Psychology and business communication skills come to the rescue. With them, work in the field of recruitment will seem to you a complete pleasure. Especially if you like to manipulate people. By the way, sociology, too, know it will not hurt. The more you know about people and the structure of their nervous and psycho-emotional system, the better.

Teamwork

The last thing that requires an HR specialist is the ability to work in a team. Not a panacea, but this moment is given special attention. In particular, in cases when your duties include not only the organization of interviews and the development of training, but also the direct accompaniment of the probation period for applicants.

In principle, if you do not like working in a team - it does not matter. In practice, the HR specialist handles all his duties independently. And contacts with society often, but dosed. Usually at interviews and during training. Or with any motivational programs.

But if you are nervous and do not know how to process a lot of information in a short time - this is already a disaster. Then you should not work as an HR specialist. As you can see, this profession is accessible to everyone. And basically the requirements for candidates are formed only in relation to personal qualities. Features of the activity, too, a lot, but they seem to us already so familiar! Personnel selection is a work for purposeful, positive and active people!
