Microsoft Word is a handy tool for creating text files. The program options allow you to beautifully and competently draw up documents for official, business or personal correspondence. Sometimes some functions of the editor cause slight irritation. Let's figure out how to remove the red underline of the text in the Word, and consider the situations when it really is needed.

Why does Word highlight individual words with wavy lines?

In the text editor from Microsoft, spelling and punctuation are enabled by default. Red color emphasizes fragments containing spelling errors, green - punctuation. The built-in dictionary of the program can not accommodate the full range of existing words of Russian (or any other) language. Therefore, the word Word mercilessly emphasizes the red lines, considering their spelling mistaken. Especially it concerns names and surnames of people, names of firms and enterprises, professional terminology and slang expressions.

If commas are omitted in the text, the syntactic connection of words is broken, then Word will highlight such sentences with a wavy green line. Consider several ways to remove the red underline in the "Word" for a single document.

Click on the word with the right mouse button and in the appeared menu select "Skip" or "Skip all". In the first case, underlining disappears only under one word, in the second - all text will be cleared of lines. This option is not the most reliable, because the next time you open the file, wavy lines can appear again.

Open the menu for the underlined word and select "add to dictionary". Now in any text document created on your computer, this word will be considered correctly written. However, if you change the case end in Word, it will be highlighted again by noticing the error.
