Common Spelling Errors

Proceeding from the fact that spelling is nothing more than the correctness of spelling, spelling errors are a violation of the rules. Perhaps someone does not pay any attention to them when reading a particular text, but many simply annoy them. It does not matter if a person does not notice his own typo, but too many mistakes in the simplest words can already lead to certain conclusions about the level of literacy. Today we will consider the most common spelling mistakes, examples of which can be found not only in forums where people write the same way as they say, but also in ready-made texts of sites claiming seriousness.

Of course, the most popular mistake is the notorious soft sign in verb endings, and it's worth it. How, at last, to learn, in what case it is necessary, and in what - no? There is nothing to learn here either. Take for example a small sentence: "She began to dress." The key word here is to "dress". Therefore, she began to do what? Dress. You see at the end of the question "what to do" a soft sign? This means that in the verb, he must also stand. But in the word "dresses", which answers the question "what does", there should be no soft sign, because it does not exist at the end of the question. The same thing happens with the verbs that answer the questions "what to do" (get dressed) and "what will" (dressed).

Many people manage to make truly unique spelling mistakes in such words as "cute", "boyfriend", "thank you", "hunting", "in general". Probably, the modern youth believes that the word "sympathetic" came from the word "simpotny", and not from "sympathy", but the word "uhozher" - from "leaving" rather than "courting". But what are guided by those who write "Sposibo", "Okhoto" and "In general" - science has not yet found out. Sometimes on the websites of all kinds of agencies you can see the word "agency". It is very strange that a serious, at first glance, firm does not know that agents work in it, and that's why the word "agency" is written through the letter "t".

Incredibly often there are such spelling mistakes as "the same way" and "also". To understand whether it is necessary to write together or separately, it is enough to remember the test words: "also" - "too", "as" - "exactly". If there is any doubt about how to write the word "also", try to mentally replace it with the word "too." If the meaning of the sentence is not lost, then we write together. If you can put the word "exactly" in front (to make "exactly the same"), then we write separately. For example: "I also (also) have this book," "Sunset (exactly) is just as beautiful as the dawn."

Perhaps today it is very fashionable to make spelling mistakes, but still, how can you write (and even say) the phrase: "My / your birthday"? After all, what is celebrated? Day. Day of what? Birth. This birthday whose? My yours. Therefore, the sentence should be written and pronounced as "My / your birthday".

If this article convinces someone that making spelling mistakes is "not comme il faut," then the author did not write it for nothing. Think about your literacy, because it plays far from the last role in our life.
