How to make content in the "Vord" of different versions

It is quite difficult to imagine any more or less voluminous text document that does not have content that reflects its structure. For this purpose, all the Microsoft text software products have always created convenient ways to implement this feature. The newest package of Office Professional 2010, which at the moment became the most popular tool for working on the PC, was not an exception (even though the newest one, Office 2013, which accompanies the emergence of Windows 8, is now actively implementing the market). However, given that many users, especially "weak" machines, continue to use the 2003 version, and some do not want to part with the 2007 intermediate version, we should carefully consider how to make the content in the "Vord" different versions.

Vord 2010

Start all the same with the most common version. So, first of all, you should open the "Links" menu, located on the top toolbar. Then you need to place the mouse cursor in front of the corresponding element in the text, which will be part of the general table of contents. This can be the title of a chapter, a section, a subsection, an item, and so on. The described procedure already allows you to understand how to make content in the "Word". But in order to give a finished look to the table of contents, it should be repeated several times - near each line necessary in the content - since it is impossible to imagine a three-dimensional document consisting of one chapter. If a complex table of contents with sections, sub-sections and smaller items is expected, then it is necessary to mark the selected text in accordance with its significance. For the chapters choose "Level 1", for smaller sections "Level 2" and so on. After completing all the necessary actions, go to the "Links" - "Table of Contents" menu, where you can choose the format you like and its individual parts.

"Word 2007"

When answering a question about how to make content in Word 2007, you need to specify text fragments that will become part of the table of contents. To do this, use the tab "Home", where the menu item "Styles" is located. You can also use a combination of hotkeys "Ctrl" + "Alt", adding to them, depending on the importance of this or that element, the numbers "1", "2" and so on. That is for main sections it will be "Ctrl" + "Alt" + "1", for subsections - "Ctrl" + "Alt" + "2". To select the general table of contents, go to the "Links" - "Table of Contents" items.

Vord 2003

Before you make the content in Word 2003, you should assign the description to the key elements - "Heading 1", "Heading 2" and so on, when printing text in the style description. If desired, you can do this after you have entered all the text. Then go to the "Insert" menu, where you need to select the "Reference" sub-item and click on the "Table of contents and pointers". Then you just need to go to the appropriate tab "Table of Contents." Here you can change various settings, fonts, types of digits, etc. After completing all the necessary actions, they should be confirmed by clicking "OK".

The result

Knowing how to make content in the Word, you can set a rigid structure even for a large document, which will make it much easier to find the right information, making it quick and convenient.
