For transmission of high-quality images in any conditions, infrared sensors (provide night-time shooting) and diaphragm monitoring (for timely response when changing illumination) are required.

To the cameras of external supervision, there are also increased requirements in terms of countering mechanical damage: they must successfully resist attempts at decontamination. Some models give signals when trying to physically destroy, which is especially true in large enterprises with a large number of video cameras: in time to react in such conditions is quite difficult, and the alarm system allows you to pay attention to a specific area almost instantly.

Since external observation is carried out under any weather conditions, some models are equipped with an anti-icing system of the lens, which is especially important for northern regions and severe winters.
