How to make a disco ball

Disco is a cheerful, joyful and festive event for all people, and not only for the young, but also for the mature.

Many middle-aged men and women remember discotheques of their youth - always cheerful, noisy, with their favorite music. And, of course, absolutely irresistible luminous ball for a disco under the ceiling. Many people want at least for holidays to return the former time and have fun, as before. Yes, and willing to show the main entertainment of his youth to the younger generation a lot. Only here is the most important component - the disco ball - now you can not find it in every club, and the organization of a themed party ("disco eighties") will cost a person wishing to shake the old days quite cheaply.

But in order to have fun with loved ones, it is not necessary to go to the club. You can arrange such a disco in your own home, office, and school (of course, in non-working and non-educational time). This requires volunteer assistants and a little imagination.

In this article, those wishing to return the past will learn how to make a disco ball with their own hands for a couple of hours from improvised materials. It's so simple that even a child can cope.

So, for this craft, you will need:

1. Mirror or old CDs.

2. The line.

3. Glass Cutter.

4. A paste or glue PVA.

5. Liquid nails.

6. Newspapers.

7. The air balloon.

First of all, you need to inflate the balloon (it must necessarily turn round) and tighten it so that it does not go down in any case.

Then the resulting frame is tied with a fishing line. In order for the future disco-ball to hang exactly, the thread must circle it along imaginary meridians. At the top you need to tie a neat loop.

After carrying out of preparatory actions the papier-mache is made. There are probably two options.

First, you can make a paste. To do this, bring the water (five parts) to a boil and mix it with flour (one fourth of the part), diluted in one part of the water. This mixture should be cooked a couple of minutes and cool.

Secondly, you can do easier and mix the usual PVA-glue with water.

The next step is to cut newspapers (or any other soft paper, not just magazines) into strips. They need to be moistened, but not very hard, in the glue, then put on a balloon. Important nuance - it must be absolutely dry.

The number of layers of paper is not limited: the more they will be, the stronger the disco ball.

Then you need to wait for the papier-mache to dry. At this stage, you can pierce the ball and pull it out, but in this case it does not need to be tied with a fishing line - it should be fixed on the dried frame, and when sticking it is necessary to leave the hole.

After that, you need to prepare the most important element - a mirror or a disk (or you can combine them). The material must be cut into small - not more than a square centimeter - squares. This is done with a glass cutter. Care must be taken here - the pieces of the mirror are very sharp, and therefore the work surface needs to be covered with a cloth.

And the last stage is the gluing of the squares on the surface of the ball and its suspension.

When you build such a decorative element, you can prove that a good party is possible at home, and no modern light-music for a disco on it is not needed!
