How to install the hood correctly?

Air circulation is a very important and responsible process in the life of every person. It depends not only on the efficiency of labor, but also on human health, so the hood is paid attention not only to various enterprises and harmful industries, but also in everyday life, assembling it in kitchens and in the bathroom. And in many apartments the construction has developed so that the installation of a kitchen hood is the main measure for setting up the venting of the whole apartment as a whole. Therefore, this process needs to be given increased attention.

Initially, the hood must be purchased. In this case, you should pay attention to its performance, overall dimensions and noise level. Also, you should pay attention to the absence of damage to the main parts, and if such are found, then the device should be exchanged. If it is planned to install a built-in hood, then you need to clarify the seller's methods of installation and check the availability of all necessary fasteners.

When you purchase a specific device, you need to consider the area that it will have to maintain. If the organization of complex ventilation is planned, then it is worth buying a few additional fans, which can be mounted in the bathroom or toilet.

Usually the installation of the hood does not take much time, but requires good preparation and certain skills. And in the process of preparation is the cleaning of all ventilation shafts of a horizontal arrangement, and if it is possible to clean vertical shafts, this should also be used. Because of their purity will depend on the quality of the device.

When the hood is installed, the whole process is divided into two parts. The first involves the installation of the device itself, and additional fans. And it is produced in compliance with the instructions and safety standards. Because you have to work both with electricity, and with power tools.

The second process, which involves the installation of hoods, is the installation of additional devices and connecting hoses. Normally, there is no provision for connecting elements in the standard delivery. This is due to the fact that the distance between the device and the input to the ventilation shaft is different, and the manufacturer can not know all the sizes. Therefore, these elements must be purchased separately.

There are two main types of connecting ventilation shafts. One of them is a special box, made of galvanized or tin, the other type is represented by a corrugated pipe.

If the hood installation takes place in a room where there is free access to the mine, then the best use is a box. It is less prone to clogging and better passes air. If access to the ventilation shaft is difficult or there are obstacles between it and the hood, then it is better to use a corrugated tube. It will provide a gentle bypass, and will not create difficult areas for air flow.
