Skiing. Standards for skiing.

Skiing is a popular winter type of outdoor activities, especially in northern countries. In such regions, almost everyone becomes skiing. This sport is accessible to all who will have a desire to do it.

It is not necessary to strive for high altitudes and fit into the standards for ski races in competitions, you can simply maintain a good sport form. Moderate walking on skis at low temperatures allows the body to resist various diseases. It is enough to buy skis and periodically take walks on them.

I would like to briefly touch on the history of the emergence of this sport inventory. In the distant past, the use of skis was an ordinary process. They greatly facilitated movement on the snow cover. On them our ancestors went hunting. The first skis were walking, only after that appeared sliding. Gradually, this activity grew into a competition, like most sports.

Over the past 20-30 years, ski discipline has developed at a rapid pace. The competitions became more and more interesting and entertaining. In addition, it is worth noting that they began to be subdivided into different independent species. The classification of skiing today is as follows: skiing, ski jumping, biathlon, skiing and biathlon. Each of these species has its own rules for conducting competitions. All of them are included in the Olympic program.

There are regulations on cross-country skiing, relying on which, any athlete gets a discharge. Already at the youthful age the beginning sportsman can recommend himself from the good side, having complied with the required norms and conditions. The standards for cross-country skiing are divided primarily in terms of movement styles: classical and free. And also everything depends on the distance. For example, take the route 5 km long. To get the first rank, you need to go through free style for 15 minutes. 5.4 sec. Men and for 17 minutes. 3.4 seconds. Women.

In cross-country skiing today there are several disciplines: competitions with separate start, mass start, relay races, pursuit races, individual and team sprints. All of them differ in the nature of the conduct and, of course, the length of the route. Each athlete, taking part in a particular race, is good in his own way. If he fails to show himself in a separate start, this does not mean that he will not master the individual sprint.

In all the existing championships and cup competitions, the participants do not have to meet the requirements for cross-country skiing. Here, one goal is to show the maximum result that can lead to victory.
Every sports discipline has its own leaders, and everyone knows this.
Champions of skiing are no exception. For all the time of the competition, so many people have contributed their names to the sport history, which is very difficult to count.

Most of all I would like to recall the Russian skiers who glorified their country. The very first Russian champion was Pavel Bychkov, who won in the 30-mile race at Khodynka Field in 1910. And, most interestingly, he was not a professional sportsman, but an ordinary janitor. Over the course of a century, our athletes cheered with their victories all the time. Alevtina Kolchina, Vladimir Kuzin, Lyubov Kozyreva, Galina Kulakova, Radya Eroshina, Claudia Boyarsky, Lyubov Yegorova, Larisa Lazutina are just a few of the names that have repeatedly cheered their fans. They forever wrote their sports personality into a story that can not be changed. Time passes, and we are certain that this list will be replenished with new heroes every year.
