How to get a one-time benefit

The birth of a child involves the assumption by the parents of very serious financial obligations. To help young families in the cause of education, the state came to the aid of young parents. As part of the program to increase the birth rate in the country at the birth of a baby, his parents are paid a one-time allowance.

Not all young mothers and dads know exactly what payments are due by law to them. The right to receive payments is absolutely all citizens in whose families babies appear. It can be the birth of your own child or the adoption of a baby at the age of up to three months. At the birth of several children at once, the allowance is paid for each.

This federal law on payments for children was adopted in 2004 (May 19), in 2005 it was amended. According to the document, the very first payment, which is due to a young family with a newly born child, is a one-time allowance. It can be received by one of the parents or the person who replaces them. Funds are paid from a special fund to the budget through employers or social services.

Allowance for working parents is paid by the employer. Therefore, to receive it you need to provide a package of documents: a certificate from the registry office on the birth of a baby (form24), a certificate from the work (service, study) of the second parent that he was not assigned a benefit, and an application for payment of funds. Also copies of the parents' passports will be required. If you receive a benefit for the second child, you must provide a copy of the birth certificate (or adoption) of the previous one.

The birth certificate of a child for whom a lump sum is required is not mandatory for the submission of the document, but in some cases employers ask for it. Parents have the right to refuse to provide legally.

A lump sum payment for the birth of a baby to single mothers is paid after they provide a certificate from the registry office (form25), which indicates information about the father.

If the parents are not yet working, then they are paid by the Social Security Service at the place of residence of the child. In this case, an application for a benefit indicating that parents have not worked anywhere, together with a birth certificate, are provided to such services. The package should also be accompanied by evidence that the parents did not have a permanent place of work (a copy of the military ticket, the document from the place of study or any other supporting document). In addition, it is necessary to provide copies of passports of both parents, pension insurance certificates, work books, certificates from work on non-payment of child support, if one of the parents quit after the birth of the baby. Private entrepreneurs provide editing from the Social Insurance Fund and the account number in the Savings Bank (a copy of a savings book or a card).

A one-time birth allowance in the event of a parent's divorce is appointed and paid according to the Order of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of December 23, In this situation, when the benefits were received, difficulties arose. For example, if the divorced spouse for some reason did not provide the necessary information for this, etc. Therefore now the allowance is given to the parent with whom the child remains after the divorce, without the participation of the second spouse. It is only necessary to provide a certificate of divorce and a document confirming that the child lives with the parent who applied.

Since the beginning of 2012, a one-time benefit is paid in the amount of 12,405.32 rubles, and according to district coefficients additional payments are added to it. The receipt of funds must be addressed within a period of up to six months from the date of the birth of the child. Appointment of benefits not later than the tenth day from the date of application.
