How to get a declaration of conformity for your products

Declaration of conformity is a new document officially confirming the quality and safety of the products or services provided by the manufacturer, in accordance with the requirements and conditions of all regulatory documents. The Declaration confirms the conformity of the products to the quality standards, and the clearance process is called declaration.

The main difference between the declaration of conformity and the certificate is that in the first document the applicant himself confirms the quality of his products and compliance with the requirements of all norms and standards. Both papers have absolutely equal legal force and at the same time are mutually exclusive.

The need to receive a declaration is determined in accordance with a single list of commodity groups, which necessarily require a certificate, or a declaration of quality, officially called the "Nomenclature." The list contains a register of all goods subject to examination and declaration of conformity.

Since it is not possible to obtain a declaration of conformity for products that are not listed, in this case it should be determined which documents should be received for your products. Perhaps this is a mandatory or voluntary certificate.

There are two schemes for this process: the issuance of a declaration of conformity of products on the basis of personal evidence, as well as with the help of evidence issued by specialized testing laboratories that have mandatory accreditation.

Today, a declaration of conformity should be obtained in three cases: if it is necessary, in accordance with the requirements of GOST, the requirements of those. Regulations of the Russian Federation or the Customs Union.

Before receiving it is necessary to prepare a package of documents confirming the conformity of the products: internal technological and technical documentation of the enterprise, results of studies, test reports, certificates and documents issued by accredited testing organizations from outside. Then the declaration itself is drawn up and approved by the certification body.

The declaration of conformity must necessarily contain the following data: the name and legal address of the manufacturer, the name of the normative document, the conformity of which, in fact, is confirmed. And also a reference to the protocol of laboratory studies and the validity of the document.

To issue and receive a declaration of conformity on hand has the right as well as a legal entity registered under all laws of the Russian Federation, as well as an individual registered as an individual entrepreneur. The paper can be produced both by the manufacturer and the seller.

The period during which the declaration of conformity is valid is established by the manufacturer in accordance with the release and the period for the realization of this product individually.

You can get a declaration of conformity for serial production of goods or for a batch of products for a contract or an invoice.

Usually manufacturers or suppliers make out voluntary certificates at the same time as the declaration . This requirement, as a rule, comes from large retail chains, as in Russia not everyone trusts such documents. This is explained by the fact that until now the declaration does not have a blank of a certain sample, and is made out on a white sheet of paper that does not have degrees of protection. Although it is certified by the relevant authorities, confirming that the product has passed all the required tests and meets the standards. The declaration of conformity must necessarily have two seals: one - the certification body, the other - the organization on which this paper is framed.
