In 2006, the coat of arms of the city was restored. Ufa again returned its symbol, but in a different guise. The decision was made on October 12 by the Heraldic Council under the President of the Russian Federation. The symbol of the city was preserved. The coat of arms depicts a brownish brown natural marten that runs along the green earth in a silver field.
