How to draw a fire using Photoshop

Amazing pictures can be created now for the craftsmen who conquered graphic editors. However, if earlier not many ordinary users happened to create something worthwhile, now we have a lot of tips at our disposal. Knowledge is not kept in the strictest secrecy, and previously unthinkable effects become something ordinary.

Some seemingly complex techniques are very easy to perform. For example, the flame in "Photoshop" is very easy to draw. You just have to remember the correct sequence of actions.

So, let's look at how to draw a fire using the Adobe Photoshop CS3 editor.

Step 1. Open the program. Create a file 600x600 pixels. Set the color mode to RGB.

Step 2. We fill the background with black color. To do this, use the "Fill" tool.

Step 3. Create a new layer by clicking on the "Create new layer" icon on the corresponding panel (in the lower right corner). It will immediately be reflected under the name "Layer 1".

Step 4. On the toolbar, select "Brush". Right-click on our canvas, set the hardness value to zero, select the brush size arbitrarily, but not too large. The main color is white.

Step 5. Draw a vertical triangle on the right side of the canvas. Do not be too zealous, the edges should be uneven. Inside the figure, also make some arbitrary strokes.

Step 6. In the horizontal menu, select "Filters" → "Stylize" → "Wind" → "Ok". In the parameters we do not change anything. Then repeat the overlay again.

Step 7. Rotate the image. To do this, select "Edit" → "Transform" → "Rotate 90 ° clockwise"

Step 8. Move our future fire below using the "Move" tool.

Step 9. "Blur" → "Gaussian Blur" → set the radius value to approximately 2.5 → "OK", so we give our sketch a slightly foggy outline.

Step 10. To give the future flame a color (this is one of the important aspects in how to draw a fire), in the context menu "Image" select the item "Correction" → "Hue / Saturation". Put a tick in front of "Toning." We set the following parameters: color tone 40, saturation 100, contrast -35. You can experiment with color by yourself.

Step 11. Now you need to create a duplicate of "Layer1". To do this, click on it with the right mouse button and in the opened context menu select the appropriate command.

Step 12. Do the duplicate with the same manipulations as described in step 10. We should get a red color. For this, the parameters are set as follows: color tone 0, saturation 80, contrast -10. The parameters of the overlay are changed from "Normal" to "Clarity of the stem".

Step 13. Holding down on the keyboard CTRL click on both layers with the blanks of the flame. Now they are highlighted. Click on them with the right mouse button and choose "Merge Layers".

Step 14. Now the most important thing is how to draw a fire more realistically. With the "Finger" tool we begin to give our sketch the shape of the flames. Do not hesitate to play with a diameter, only by trial and error you can create a quality drawing. It is best to put a picture of real fire in front of you.

If you wish, you can repeat step 10 again, giving the flame more red. This will make the drawing more vivid. You can also experiment with layering effects.

You can draw fire not only in the way described above, but this is one of the most simple and understandable for beginner methods. It uses the minimum number of commands and incomprehensible terms.

The effect of the flame is very beautiful. With it, you can very interestingly revitalize your photos. How to draw a fire, in which case to use it as an ornament - you decide.
