Household farming: how to feed broiler chickens

Broiler chickens, like all hybrids, are characterized by rapid growth and not too high resistance to various infections and diseases. Therefore, many owners of household plots often have a question about what to feed the broiler chickens in order to get a healthy, well-weighted bird as a result. And this is understandable. After all, the more balanced the food, the better the chickens will feel, and the more meat the owner will receive as a result.

Feed for broilers should contain everything necessary for proper growth of the substance: from proteins to vitamins. In addition, when compiling a diet, it is necessary to take into account the age of chickens. This will directly depend on the final result. So, what are the chicken broilers fed? Let's consider this issue in more detail.

Until the three-day age, broiler chickens are given mainly boiled eggs and millet. From time to time you can also feed cottage cheese and small-grained grain: corn, barley, oats, etc. Beginning with the third day of the life of chickens, greens are added to the diet. You need to do this gradually, otherwise the bird may have problems with the functioning of the digestive system.

The first time you can feed no more than 6 g. Of greens per chicken. Then the dose is gradually increased. "What do chicken broilers feed when it comes to greenery?" - the question is not too complicated for the summer period. You can give finely chopped dandelions, nettles, carrot and beet tops, sorrel, cabbage, etc. In late autumn and winter, instead of grass, feed the flour (herbal), the content of which is also gradually increased in bunches from two grams to five.

Next, consider what feed the broiler chickens from the fifth day of life. Basically give the same food as before, but at the same time they add vitamins. The easiest way is to use a special mixture. For its preparation, take a half-liter of vegetable oil and add to it two teaspoons of oil solutions of vitamins A, D and E. At the same time small gravel is added to the feed. This contributes to its better digestibility.

The useful composition thus obtained is stored in a refrigerator. Chickens are given twice a week (1 h / l per kilogram of mesquee). On the sixth day of growth, broilers are given vegetables. It can be boiled carrots, beets or zucchini. Before feeding, they are rubbed on a grater. From the tenth day you can include in the diet oilcakes, sunflower or soy.

At the age of twenty, broilers, in addition to grain, should receive boiled potatoes as a part of the mash. This will contribute to a very fast weight gain. Potatoes must be replaced by about a quarter of the grain. Feeding of monthly broilers practically does not differ from feeding of twenty-day. However, starting at the age of five weeks, the amount of food received by the bird should be started to decrease slowly. The transfer of the young for moderate feeding is carried out gradually over about a week. After the chicks fully adapt to the new regime, they are kept up to 18 weeks with more stringent restrictions: they give out a double norm of food every other day. At fully adult feeding young growth is transferred from the 19th week of life.

What feed chicken broilers, most likely, now for you no problem. It all depends on the age of the young. Before the chickens turn a month, they are fed in plenty. Then start to introduce some restrictions.
