Grusha "Chizhovskaya"
Pear "Chizhovskaya" was obtained at the Agricultural Academy named after Timiryazev. For crossing, the varieties "Lesnaya Krasavitsa" and "Olga" were taken.
The variety was named after one of its authors - S.T. Chizhov, the second author of the variety is Potapov S.P. The tree is a middle-aged, late-summer, almost entirely self-fertilized. The pear variety belongs to the stem type. The bark of the trunk (or as it is also called professional gardeners - burs) is a dark gray color. The long-lived skeletal branches, which make up the skeleton of the tree crown, also have a gray color, they are arranged vertically, slightly inclined. Shoots usually brownish-red, medium length and thickness, rounded in cross section.
