Gianni Rodari - author of "The Adventures of Cipollino", "The Fairy Tales on the Phone," "Blue Arrow Travels" - to the whole world became famous for his optimism, cheerfulness and irrepressible imagination. A good Italian storyteller was able to settle in the souls of children the belief in good, justice, but at the same time he talked about a real life in which there is evil and cruelty. Gianni never left the fantasy, and he taught the children to dream and believe in miracles.

Poor and hungry childhood

The author of The Adventures of Cipollino was born in 1920 in the family of a baker and a servant. He was not spoiled neither with satiety, nor with luxury, but the boy from his youth stood out with a rich imagination. Gianni was very gifted, he learned to play the violin, wrote poetry, painted, dreaming of becoming a famous painter in the future. The family overtook trouble when Rodari was 9 years old. His father was a very kind person, who gave shelter to all homeless animals. Once during a heavy downpour, he took out a small kitten from a huge puddle and brought it home. The pet remained alive, but his father fell ill with pneumonia and died soon.

The author of the fairy tale "Adventure Cipollino" already in 17 years went to work as a teacher of junior classes. Rodari's students were incredibly lucky, because he gave his pupils a lot of joy. Children built houses of letters, wrote fairy tales along with a mentor. Even as an adult, Gianni could dream and fantasize, in his heart he remained the same child, believing in miracles, and it helped him write bright, colorful and memorable works.

An acute pen and sincere belief in justice

The author of "The Adventures of Cipollino" struggled all his life against oppression, he fought against the fascists with weapons, he fought for justice with a sharp word, working as a correspondent in the newspaper "Edinstvo". Fairy-tale characters, Rodari also taught to fight evil. Thanks to the dedication of an honest master Vinogradinka, a clever Chipollino, a good professor of Grusha, the country of vegetables has found freedom, and children from all over the world have enjoyed the Adventures of Cipollino.

The author was always cheerful, cheerful, constantly inventing something. Gianni Rodari called his tales toys, consisting of words. Bright and memorable characters crashed into the memory of children, taught to distinguish between truth and falsehood, good and evil. Absolutely all fairy tales are filled with benevolence and optimism, inspire faith in the fact that justice will triumph, and in this the author played a big role. "Adventures of Cipollino", "Jelsomino in the land of liars", "Jeep in the TV" became world-famous and favorite works for children.

Good storyteller

Rodari always tried to develop the imagination of the guys. Of course, this does not mean that absolutely everyone he dealt with became writers, artists and musicians, but the ability to dream makes a man kinder, freer and stronger, Gianni did not want children in the future to be "slaves". Especially for parents, he even wrote a textbook "Grammar of Fantasy", according to which the children learned to develop their creative abilities. Fairy tales of Rodari are filled with kindness, wisdom and optimism, that's why they cause interest not for one generation of small readers.
