Gentle surgery - laparoscopy

Progress does not stand still. In many areas of modern society, new technologies and methods are emerging. Medicine is not an exception in this respect. With the advent of new, modern computer technology, new methods of treatment appeared, more sparing and painless. Among these innovations is the operation of laparoscopy, carried out both for diagnosis and for the treatment of diseases of internal organs.
Initially, this method was conceived as diagnostic, but then it began to be used to cure patients. The laparoscopy procedure is performed under general anesthesia. Sometimes just local anesthesia is used. With the use of general anesthesia , a special tube is inserted into the patient's airways to prevent the ingestion of food from the stomach into the lungs.

Actually, the operation of laparoscopy presupposes how small the puncture is in the wall of the abdominal cavity of the patient, while the size of the incisions is only about 1 cm. One of the punctures inserts a special thin instrument, a laparoflator, with which carbon dioxide is pumped into the peritoneum - this is done for the convenience of the surgeon . Gas simply lifts the wall of the abdominal cavity, thereby increasing the visibility and space for work.

In another puncture, special optics are introduced, with the help of which a diagnosed organ is removed on the video, and also the operation itself laparoscopy. After the procedure, the film with the recording is given to the patient. This method is characterized by less blood loss, absence of postoperative complications and scars.
Laparoscopy is used to diagnose and treat diseases of the abdominal cavity - intestine, appendix, biliary tract, liver, etc. This method is prescribed when it is impossible to carry out diagnosis by conventional methods (ultrasound, computed tomography, etc.).
Very often, this procedure is used in gynecology - this method diagnoses various women's diseases: benign tumors, ectopic pregnancy, torsion of appendages, etc. In all these cases, both diagnosis and, in fact, laparoscopic surgery can be performed. Gynecology is one of the main spheres in medicine that uses this method.
Gentle method, which brings an excellent result and a minimum of complications, unfortunately, is not used in all clinics. The fact is that for carrying out such a procedure, special equipment is required, which is not available everywhere. Doctors sometimes advise patients to contact special clinics. Of course, this procedure is not completely free.

Laparoscopy (transaction cost) may depend on several factors. This, above all, of course the degree of complexity of the procedure. For example, diagnostics can cost around 40 000 r, and surgical intervention will, of course, be more expensive - about 60 000 r.

Despite the high prices, many prefer this method of surgical intervention, because it is less painful and is not accompanied by serious complications.
