The emergence of new species of living beings is possible only if existing ones share with their "new" genes. That is, sets of amino acids that are stored in the chromosomes of each living cell. All genes of the whole mankind are an information bank. It turns out that the gene pool is a set of data characterizing all human beings of the past, present and future.

It turns out that every living organism receives information about all the creatures of its kind, preserved in the genes.

There are several billion people on the planet. Absolutely everyone can boast of his own set of genes. This information is individual and unique. The whole aggregate of data that is contained in the chromosomes of people, and makes up the gene pool of mankind. It is divided into groups according to nationality. For example, the gene pool of the Russian nation is the aggregate information about the sets of chromosomes of people of this ethnic group.

What is the importance of the concept

The gene pool is an opportunity to transmit the signs of an ethnos to future generations. When the population size is reduced, conditions are created for its complete destruction. That is, there is a certain "critical mass" of the gene pool. If people stop giving birth to their kind, then the ethnos may disappear from the face of the Earth. This applies to all of humanity. Only constant reproduction promotes the long existence of the species as such. The displacement of genes during fertilization is responsible for the appearance of new mutations. In order for the reproduction to be continuous, the carriers of gene information must be sufficient, and they must possess genes that allow the creatures to reproduce. It turns out that the gene pool is information about the health and purity of the ethnos or humanity as a whole.

The essence of information contained in chromosomes

Genes answer in general for the entire body of man and not only. The color of the eyes or hair, the constitution and the shape of the body are determined by hereditary information, that is, the set of chromosomes that the child receives from the parents. In addition, he still gets the chance of acquiring a particular disease. Now there are disputes over the inheritance of temperament. But the human body is not perfect and often fails. Reproductive function is also relevant. Due to abnormalities, a child may receive a damaged set of chromosomes, which will cause disease or mutation. Such a set he will give to his descendants, and this is a threat to the entire gene pool. Of course, one failure will not destroy humanity. But if these violations become massive, then they threaten the existence of the whole species, since the chain of inheritance of signs is continuous. Science is trying to find ways to deal with genetic diseases, but so far it remains at the level of fiction, so preserving the viable gene pool of mankind is one of the main tasks.
