At the services, Father Stachy (Minchenko) read inspired sermons, and many of his prayers were healed from tobacco, alcohol and drug addiction.

Minchenko Stakhiy Mikhailovich was born in the village of Sukhaya Berezovka in the Voronezh Region in 1942. He grew up like all ordinary village boys. However, his parents brought him up in strictness and obedience. The decision to become a student of the theological seminary came to him not immediately. First he graduated from high school, then served his time in the army, then worked as a driver at Novovoronezh NPP. And then one day he had to visit the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, then he realized his true path and purpose. Soon he entered the theological seminary for correspondence department, he had to combine study with work in a brick factory.

In 1992, he began to serve in the St. Nicholas Church of Filippovsky, which was virtually destroyed. But Archpriest Stachy did not give up the difficulties and began to restore it, attracting parishioners to this. As a result, he turned it into a holy wonder of the Russian remote places. A lot of his physical and spiritual strength was invested in his abode by the elder, and for this selfless work he did not remain without attention. ROC honored his high awards - the Order of the Equal to the Apostles. Vladimir (III degree), Andrew Bogolyubsky, the Blessed Prince. Daniel of Moscow and St. Dimitry (Metropolitan of Rostov).

During his lifetime the elder visited many holy places. He was on Athos, in Egypt, in Cyprus and the island of Corfu. Wherever he went, and wherever he was, he always prayed for his parishioners and especially children. He always urged everyone to pray and visit churches more often.

Eternal peace

And suddenly the pilgrimage service "Enlightenment" informed the believers that Father Stachy was sleeping peacefully. Village Filippovskoe began to prepare for a worthy funeral of his esteemed elder. The reason for his death was that a week before his death, his blood sugar was jumping. Saturday and Sunday services, he served and did not make any complaints. According to the head of the temple, at about 7 pm he joked with her, and it was evident that he felt cheerful, but by midnight he had a heart attack and his heart stopped.

The father had a son. He was also a priest, who, just like his father, died suddenly. The cause was a severed thrombus, almost all priests suffer from this disease. In such cases, the people are usually told that the son took his father.

The funeral

On Monday night, the local metropolitan came to the temple. And by 9.00 o'clock before the service a lot of people had arrived in the village of Filippovskoe, everyone wanted to put their hand on the hand of the pious elder. As alive, Father Stachy lay in the coffin. Filippovskoe village meanwhile hosted a large number of pilgrims and other people not indifferent to the death of the priest.

At the funeral was another son of Stakhia's father, and also a daughter from Ukraine with her husband and priest and children. People could not contain their tears. After all, many were healed by the prayers of their spiritual father, who did real miracles. Everyone was amazed at how such a powerful spiritual force and efficiency were concealed in such a frail man of old age.

After the morning service on the day of the funeral the local bishop came and served a requiem. It ended at 15.00 hours, and already then the body of the elder was taken out of the temple by the priests and brought to the grave by the procession.

The grave was prepared according to the will of Stakhia's father, it is on the left near the altar part of the temple, to the left between two trees, where only silence, grace and tranquility. At the grave the local bishop delivered a farewell speech, and the priest was buried. Then people were prepared funeral tables with kutya, pancakes and sandwiches.

Parting

Pilgrims travel to the temple to the grave of the priest in the hope that in the next world he will not leave them in trouble. It remains now only to pray for his soul and further hope that he will not abandon his spiritual children and from heaven will help and bless.

In the hearts of many believers, Father Stachy printed his bright trace. He left the best comments on the ground, as he himself was of this order - a true prayer book, caring and wise.
