Everyone knows what a "good deed" is. This is an action that brings some benefit not to the person himself, but to his colleague. Thus, altruism acts as a measure of morality and morality of a person. If a person lives mostly for others and quite a bit for himself, then society believes that this person is good - kind.

In this article, the very concept of "good deed" will be investigated, and examples of good deeds, the most usual ones, will be used as material. Those that people meet constantly. But first you need to consider the concepts of "good" and "evil."

Perhaps, what is written here is in some way a common place, but this should be said: "good" and "evil" are relative concepts. Everything depends on the system of values that a person takes. For believers, these are not relative categories, but absolute and at the same time quite concrete: what accompanies the knowledge of God is good, and what contributes to the distance of a person from God is bad. And do not have any points of view. And God is responsible for good, and man himself is for evil. Very comfortably. But in fact, instead of God as a system of coordinates that determines human behavior, almost any phenomenon of the world can be laid, for example, pleasure - thus, people-hedonists are obtained. They have in place of good and evil pleasure and suffering, respectively.

From this follows: the understanding of good and evil can be individual, but it remains unchanged the clear conviction that there is a clear boundary between good and evil that does not need to be crossed. However, all the same, the example of good deeds is always your own. It is this contradiction in the evaluation that gives rise to endless human conflicts. It turns out both funny and sad: bad things do not arise because of the absolute evil that reigns in the world, but because of a different understanding of the good that each individual has. To prove this, you need to take the most trivial examples of good deeds, or rather, their results that a person sees or hears daily: life and death, pleasure and suffering, love and hate.

Life and death

When any person looks at life from a bird's eye view, he, without doubting, will say that life is good, but when the time comes for concrete decisions, then the perspective changes. For example, a person is seriously ill, drugs are not helping him. What is life for him - evil or good? The question that was embodied in the problem of euthanasia. Hence logically follows that good deeds, examples of them will be treated depending on the solution of this ethical dilemma.

Pleasure and suffering

Everyone knows that pleasure is good, and suffering is evil. With this thought in my head live almost all modern people. But is it fair? Is such a belief in the magical country "Good deeds"? Examples from life prove that not always. Pleasure and suffering are condiments, without which life would be fresh. But every person knows what happens if you do not keep the dosage.

Let us turn to concrete examples. The parent wants to facilitate his child's life and gives him money for nothing (example of good deeds). Noble? Yes. Is it useful for the child? No. Why? Because easy money, received without difficulty, promises future suffering and moral decay, of course, if such help is systematic. In a magical way, the child's pleasure transforms (or even mutates) into unfulfilled suffering.

Love and hate (dislike)

It would be extremely unfortunate for humanity if its nature suddenly hated all its world soul. On Earth, there would be catastrophes and other troubles. But nature (or God) still loves humanity, and this is the main example of good deeds that people have in front of them at the moment.

Is parental love a blessing or an evil?

When a person is born, it is almost always a joy for the parents. First of all, the mother surrounds the newly arrived in the world with boundless and inexhaustible care. And now attention, the question: mother care is an example of good deeds? Of course! But only sometimes the care of parents becomes a stranglehold, suffocating the child, his independent impulses. Because the parents (mother or father) have their own plans for the future of their daughter or son.

There are women (and men) who beat their children, taking evil for them for their unfortunate lives, without ceasing to love them at the same time.

Some women give birth to loneliness and surround the only joy of their life with uncontrollable care, the latter as a result with 90% probability will break the child's life. Because such mothers do not know how to let their children into an independent life. "Rupture of the umbilical cord" in this case involves pain for either one side or the other.

Looking at all this, I would like to say the words of Kurt Vonnegut (American writer - classic of the twentieth century): "Love me a little less, but treat me like a human being."

Tragic love - is it bad or is it all the same good?

Now another case: a boy and a girl love each other, and everything is fine. But then something breaks, and the girl throws the boy or vice versa. Abandoned people consider the failed "love for life" as an inescapable tragedy. Less persistent young people (both girls and boys) prefer to go into the arms of death, without waiting for developments. That's how love turns from evil into evil. Such are the good deeds, examples of them are paradoxical.
