Esteban Cambiasso: the path to fame

Esteban Cambiasso is one of a pleiad of talented Argentine players, whose football talent has fully unfolded on the European continent.

He was born on August 18, 1980 in Buenos Aires. Like all Argentine boys of those times, Esteban from morning to night chased the ball in the yard, dreaming to score the best goalkeepers in the world.

Madrid "Real"

Being a pupil of the famous academy "Juniors", Esteban at the age of 16 went to conquer the Spanish championship. In this country, he began to speak for teams of young men of different ages in Madrid "Real".

However Esteban Cambiasso did not manage to break into the main team of the Madrid club, and in 1998 he was returned back to his homeland - on lease rights in the "Indepedente", from where he moved to River Plate in 2001, becoming the Argentine champion.

In 2002, the head coach of Real Madrid decided that he wanted to see how the young footballer Esteban Cambiasso scored in the team. Photos of that year captured how the "Royal" club became the owner of the European Super Cup, and a considerable credit to this victory belongs to the Argentine player.

In the next season, the footballer of the same "Real" wins the championship of Spain, and also takes the Intercontinental Cup. However, because of the presence in the team of a number of midfielders of the highest class, Cambiasso rarely went into the starting lineup of the "Real". The management of the team decided not to prolong the agreement with the Argentine, which ended on the last day of June 2004.

Going to the "Inter"

In July 2004 Esteban Cambiasso decided to invite the Italian "Inter" to his ranks, for the benefit of him, he did not have to pay a lira for it, since the player was in the status of a free agent. The contract was concluded immediately for 4 years, then the cooperation agreement was extended several times in total until the end of June 2014. This period can be called golden for both the player himself and his new club.

Largely thanks to Cambiasso, Inter won the Champions League 2009/2010 season, the World Cup among club teams, won the Cup and the Italian Super Cup three times, and also became the five-time Scudetto winner.

After the end of the contract, the management of the Milanese did not dare to extend their cooperation with the already high-age football player, as a result of which Cambiasso again becomes a free agent in 2015 in Greek Olympiakos.

Argentina squad

Footballer Esteban Cambiasso, whose biography is decorated with the title of world champion among players under 20, debuted in Argentina's national team on December 20, 2000 in a match with the Mexican team.

In the national team of his country, the player usually plays in the position of the defensive midfielder and chooses a T-shirt with the fifth game number. In total, for the national team of Argentina Cambiasso held 52 games in which 5 times hit the gate rivals.
