Endangered species of animals of our planet

Ever since the birth of life on our planet, evolution has proceeded at full speed. For millennia the Earth has seen a huge variety of animals. But, unfortunately, or fortunately, many of them have not survived to this day. Evolution is merciless and does not recognize mercy. This process continues to this day, and the list of disappeared representatives of the animal world with a regular frequency includes more and more endangered species of animals.

Although the process of disappearance at any time was quite obvious, in our time this is greatly influenced by the activities of a person occupying positions at the very top of the hierarchical pyramid of life on the planet. By nature, he constantly seeks to expand the halo of his habitat, using for this his knowledge and skills. Such activities are often fatal to animals.

Causes of extinction

In order not to disappear from the Earth some species of animals, scientists develop various programs to maintain and increase their populations. However, it is important to struggle with the primary sources of problems. As a rule, there are several main reasons:

• Natural disruption of ecosystem stability in a particular region or the whole world,
• Violations in the genetic structure, loss of valuable genetic materials,
• A person's activity that does not involve caring for the wild.

Any endangered species of animals leads to a depletion of nature, its genetic diversity. In addition, everything is in a relative relationship, so that the disappearance of one particular species will introduce an imbalance in the alignment of forces, and this will already affect the number of other animals.

For birds, the main threat is the destruction of their habitats. Mankind continues to cut down forests at a tremendous rate, use natural resources, which forces the birds to move to other areas, and such migration is not always successful for them.

The extinct animals are also the moral problem of man as the strongest and dominant species on the planet.

Endangered species

At the moment, the Red Book contains more than 40 thousand species that are on the verge of extinction. The problem is very acute. In many countries, they are trying to pay the necessary attention. To do this, create reserves, national parks and similar places where for rare representatives of the animal world organize life, the most approximate to the natural conditions of their habitat.

According to scientists, first of all it is necessary to fill the number of the following species:

• Bison,
• Muskrats,
• Beluga,
• Polar bears,
• Giant pandas,
• Florida Panthers,
• Whales,
• Loserogie and reindeer heron.

However, do not forget that living beings, whose population is constantly shrinking, is much larger. Endangered species of animals on Earth at the moment are a third of amphibians, eighth of all bird species and almost 70% of known plant species. This is exactly the situation in reality and this is the threat to life on our planet.

Every year more and more representatives of the living world fall into the catalogs of the Red Book. A growing list of species that are preserved only in captivity under the close supervision of biologists and veterinarians. Often, this means that they are only a few dozen, and therefore they are on the verge of extinction. These include dolphins, baiji, orang-utan and many North American reptiles.

Over the past few years, the situation has improved only with the population of Mauritian ocherrel parrots.

In Africa, under threat of extinction - half of all birds, because their habitats are gradually being destroyed. In Colombia, endangered species of animals make up about 25% of the entire fauna. And here it is worth considering that Colombia, like Brazil, is the world's countries with the greatest biodiversity in the world. The flora and fauna of these countries are still being studied, so it may well be that some species will disappear, having been left to the end and unexplored.

Work to conserve the biological diversity of our planet must be conducted constantly and systematically, but even in this case it will take a lot of effort and time.
