Literary analysis. "Sparrow" (Turgenev): love is stronger than death

The author of the novellas "First Love", "Spring Waters", novels "The Noble Nest", "On the eve" - first of all the singer of love and the admirer of nature, associated with it with the universe. In the life of both Turgenev himself and his central literary characters, burning feelings occupy not only a priority, but also a truly fundamental place. It will show a small work and its analysis - "Sparrow". Turgenev depicted in it one of the faces of love.

Tie the poem "Sparrow"

The man returns home from hunting. He is already walking along the alley of the garden. The dog, as it should be, is running ahead - it always and everywhere looks out for the prey. Suddenly (thanks to this dialect the reader pays attention that now something will start), she changed the tempo and slowly began to creep toward something. It turns out that near the alley a yellow-beaked chick was sitting motionless.

He was utterly helpless, only crisscrossed his slightly wings. Sympathy for the sparrow paralyzes the hunter - this is what the reader shows the work and its analysis ("Sparrow"). Turgenev wanted to demonstrate that people are much slower than animals reacting to what is happening. The man only looks and does nothing.

Culmination

And the dog, slowly rearranging its paws, is approaching the unfortunate one. Suddenly (this adverb repeatedly changes the whole situation) from the tree in front of the muzzle of the dog with a huge toothy grinning mouth, the sparrows of the sparrows spread out bravely.

The writer uses in this case the gypsy part, as if accelerating the actions of the defender. The sparrow is pathetic, helpless, croaky, but jumping in the direction of the dog, protecting the chick, closing it with himself. In this part of the work the author uses antonyms, contrasting the enormity of the dog in comparison with the small body of a bird.

The feathered creature decided to become a victim of this beast, although terribly frightened. All used verbs accurately and colorfully convey those actions that helped in this desperate situation. The dog was dumbfounded, stopped and even moved back. You can never lose hope of salvation - this is the conclusion that readers make by analyzing the work in parts, making its analysis ("Sparrow"). Turgenev showed how powerful is the natural instinct to protect his cub.

Decoupling

The hunter recalled the dog, which was taken aback, but left with reverence for the behavior of the old sparrow. He wandered among the trees, thinking about what had happened and involuntarily doing the analysis. A sparrow ... Turgenev exalted a small bird, and left the hunter puzzled. And the main character of this story, both the author and the readers - all looked at the bird as a hero, bowing before her selfless love.

Art style

This lyrical narrative in prose, in which the whole chain of events is consistently described. It is widely used epithets in describing both the old and young sparrows. They convey the whole horror of the action. A dog is painted very brightly, which is also driven by instinct. She is completely subordinated to hunting passion. It's beyond her strength not to follow him. An animal can be stopped only by the owner, but not a game.

And then a little sparrow stood on its way, all trembling with fear, but ready to protect the chick. This courage, courage stopped the dog, who had seen a lot. Emotionality and imagery of Turgenev to us in all details show, it would seem, an insignificant event. The author rose to the highest generalizations in the work "Sparrow". Turgenev, whose theme in the poem is associated with love and sacrifice, in other places will call it a sacred flame and a feeling that is the reflection of eternity itself.

Poem in prose

Turgenev wrote this work in April 1878. At this time, the author was 60 years old and was haunted everywhere by the specter of an impending death. To escape from the black thoughts, to convince himself of the eternal victory of good over evil, he will create this poem in prose. It is permeated with penetrating lines about love, on which everything keeps and moves. It is on this positive note that Turgenev finishes the "Sparrow", the summary of which was set out.
