The status of the city Edmonton received only at the end of the XIX century, when it was inhabited by less than a thousand people, and at the beginning of the last century the number of inhabitants increased to eight thousand. When the province of Alberta was formed officially, this settlement became an administrative center.

How to get to Edmonton
