History of the theater

The Drama Theater (Orsk) began its creative career in 1937. At that time, heavy industry was being formed in the city. In this regard, there was a large influx of people. This required the creation of a cultural center in Orsk. The opening of the theater took place on November 7, 1937 - the day of the celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the establishment of Soviet power. A week later the first performance of the troupe took place. It was a play by K. Trenov "On the banks of the Neva".

In 1969 a special building was built for the theater. Since 1949 the troupe has left on tour. Artists have visited many cities of our country.

The theater takes an active part in festivals and competitions. His performances won a large number of awards, diplomas and prizes.

More recently, the building of the theater was subjected to major repairs and large-scale reconstruction. This process lasted three years. "Leshka and the Star"

In 2016, the Drama Theater (Orsk) prepared a spectacular new play for its young spectators. This is a fairy tale by Sergei Kozulin "Leshka and the Star." The premiere took place on March 25, 2016. This fairy tale that Kikimory, Babki Yozhka and Leshie were also once children. Why did they grow up so evil and ill-bred? Perhaps, as a child, there was simply no one to teach politeness to them? The main character of this tale is Leszek, Niece of Leshnya. While she is still a child. But soon she, like all children, will grow up. And who would she be then?
