Progress has also been made to such a traditional occupation of man as hunting. At the same time, the use of perfect materials and constructive solutions in the arms had little effect on the process itself. Range finders for hunting are electronic-optical devices used to calculate the range. The principle of their action lies in the ability of light to reflect from objects and in determining the speed of its movement. The device calculates the time for which the light reflected from the object returns to the device, and thus determines the distance to it. High accuracy and ease of use make it possible to use a rangefinder in various fields of human activity, but for the first time it, of course, appeared in the military (for which, in fact, it was developed). At first they were equipped with tank sights (in the 70's), and as the device was improved and its dimensions decreased, it was used in manual optical surveillance and aiming devices .

With the improvement of manufacturing technology and cheaper cost, it became possible to offer rangefinders in the civil market. Let and not at once, but their possibilities have been estimated by consumers, and now popularity of them grows every year.
