Diseases that cause inflammation of the bones

Any inflammation that has arisen in the bone system is a reaction of the body to some external effect. Most often these are bacterial infections that Penetrate through an open wound, from a neighboring affected organ or through the lymph and blood from a remote hearth. Inflammation of bones is indicated by local symptoms: reddened skin and fever, painful sensations. Common signs of this disease are expressed in malaise and in changing blood test parameters.

Osteomyelitis

Osteomyelitis is the most common disease of the osseous system. Its acute form occurs when it is infected with a hematogenous route (through the blood). The cause can be any purulent infection in the body, which is carried over the vessels. The first symptoms of acute hematogenous osteomyelitis are a general increase in temperature, sometimes vomiting occurs. The disease is very dangerous, there can be a general infection of blood with a fatal outcome. The portion of bone near the joint is more often affected. Pus can cause it to necrosis, in such cases the detachable begins to come out together with the bone fragment. In the skeleton a defect is formed, which can be corrected orthopedically, when the inflammation of the bone passes. Treatment consists in surgical removal of the purulent focus and necrotic areas. Antibiotics prescribe in maximum doses to avoid the spread of bacterial infection throughout the body.

Chronic osteomyelitis may result from an incomplete acute form of the disease, and may arise from the transfer of purulent infection from neighboring organs or an open wound. Manifestations of this ailment are expressed in a slight malaise, local soreness. Quite often there are fistulas. Through them, together with pus, the necrotic parts of the bone are rejected. In such cases, therapeutic treatment with antibiotics is not enough, surgical intervention is required.

Inflammatory bone disease

Inflammation of the bones often occurs with tuberculosis. The causative agent is ingested through the blood and lymph. Bone tuberculosis affects the entire skeleton, primarily near the joints, where there is a strong blood flow. Treatment is aimed at eliminating the primary disease, and inflammation of the bones is removed with antibacterial therapy. Bone tuberculosis leads to the development of deformations in the skeleton and especially in the joints. Often there is a need for orthopedic treatment.

Inflammation of the tibia is characteristic of professional athletes. There is soreness with any touch, the surface of the skin swells, and tuberosity is formed.

Polyarthritis - rheumatic inflammation of bones and large joints. With the development of the disease, brushes and feet are affected and deformed. Small joints are destroyed. Anti-inflammatory treatment is very long. Physiotherapeutic procedures and orthopedic devices that correct the position of bones and joints are also required.
