Diseases of testicles in men

Illnesses of testicles in men are quite rare. They are characterized by unpleasant sensations, and sometimes, when untimely taking appropriate measures, pose a danger to life.

The most serious disease of testicles is cancer, which is also the most common form of oncological diseases in men. It has a development characteristic of tumors, in which the mutated cells multiply uncontrolledly. Symptoms are very slow and represent a painless neoplasm or a seal in the testicle. Often men detect tumors on their own in the early stages of development. With timely treatment, the disease is effectively curable.

Diseases of the testicles can be inflammatory. The most common disease of this kind is epididymitis, an inflammation of the appendages of the organ. These are the coiled tubular formations, which are located next to the testicles. In the appendages the maturation of the spermatozoa passes. The disease can be infectious or inflammatory.

Symptoms of epididymitis:

- slight discomfort,

- Pain in the scrotum ,

- increase in body temperature,

- Edema.

This disease is most common for men from eighteen to forty.

Frequent changes of sexual partners and unprotected sex are also frequent causes of this disease. Injuries, increased pressure in the appendage (after a vasectomy), physical stress, urine entering the appendage channel provokes the development of epididymitis.

Antibiotics or anti-inflammatory drugs are used to treat the disease. In severe cases, bed rest, pain medications are prescribed. It is recommended to apply cold on the area of the scrotum. The pain lasts a long time, but during treatment they pass within a month.

Diseases of testicles in men can be associated with the vascular system of this organ. In this case, there is edema of testicular veins - varicocele. Every fifth man has this disease. Varicocele is an extension of the venous system of the testicle. This condition does not cause significant harm, but sometimes accompanied by a slight pain and in some cases leads to infertility. If a pathological enlargement of individual testicular veins is detected, which manifests itself in the lying or tensing position, urgent medical attention is needed.

A frequent pathology is dropsy.

Illnesses of testicles in men can be caused by torsion. In this case, the blood vessels are pinched, which means that the blood supply of the organ is impaired. Physical activity can not be called the cause of this pathological condition, since it often appears during sleep. When severe, intense pain occurs, urgent medical attention is needed. If untimely treatment, testicular tissue dies, and this part of the genital organ loses its function. An urgent operation is needed, the goal of which is to return the testicle to the physiological position, fixing the organ to prevent recurrence of the disease.

Diseases of testicles in men can occur with various injuries, and sometimes without specific reasons. In such cases, there is a hydrocele - an excessive accumulation of fluid in the shells of the organ, which in severe cases can lead to intense pain and a feeling of squeezing, which as it progresses intensifies and becomes extremely unpleasant for patients.

Illnesses of testicles in men are not potentially dangerous for human life, but they can lead to such a dangerous complication as infertility. To prevent these pathological conditions, it is necessary to comply with all preventive measures, as well as promptly seek help from specialists when the first symptoms of the disease appear.
