In the jars, put the washed currant leaves, celery. Throw 5-6 peas of sweet pepper. Pour a little cinnamon at will - it does not hurt, since your tomatoes are sweet. Preserved on this recipe, the tastier ones turn out to be green or pinkish-brown tomatoes. It is them and lay in the banks. Pour each layer of sugar. For 10 kg of tomatoes, 3 kg of sugar is required. Salt is put to taste. When the cans are filled with "hangers", fill them with ripe tomatoes (about 4 kg of tomato paste), mixed with the remaining sugar, through the meat grinder. Boil the jars for 15 to 25 minutes, depending on the volume. Roll them up, turn them upside down, cover and let it go until it cools down. Such tomatoes stand sweet, canned with sugar and without vinegar, all winter until the very spring, without spoiling. The own acid in them is an excellent preservative.

Pickled tomatoes

The tomatoes in the marinade are in no way inferior to the previous recipe. Pour to them is prepared this: for 10 liters of fluid requires 350-400 grams of salt, the same amount of vinegar, and a half kilograms of sugar. In this case, the pickled tomatoes are sweet. Preserved in this way, they are especially tasty if, unlike the previous recipe, they are not brown and green, but red and yellow. Yes, and the banks themselves with the products look very tempting! So, put in a container washed flakes of dill, horseradish leaves, fragrant pepper. Fill with tomatoes. Top with a little more dill. Vinegar can be poured directly into the jars. Add the brine. For this, boil water, pour salt and sugar, dissolve. Filled cans are sterilized for 15-20 minutes, roll up. I think you will like these sweet canned tomatoes. For the winter they are exactly what you need!

Tomatoes with apple juice

Since the whole of this article is devoted to a rather unusual home conservation, then the next option will interest you. It is original in its own way, because it combines fruits and vegetables. The recipe for canned sweet tomato is as follows: ripe tomatoes washed, pierced near the cuttings and spread out on cans. Pour them with boiling water, let it stand for 10 minutes. Then pour out the water, boil, pour again. Again wait 10 minutes, drain. Warm apple juice to boiling , put salt in it (30 grams per liter of liquid) and sugar (100 g for the same amount), simmer the tomatoes in cans and close them. As usual, we must give them to stand upside down and covered for 24 hours, then send to the cellar.
