Diseases of plants

Diseases of plants can lead not only to the loss of a beautiful decorative appearance, but in general to the death of a favorite flower. So, it is necessary at the first symptoms of the disease, without delay, to resort to the help of appropriate medications. However, if a plant has infected some virus, for example, a mosaic, then there is nothing to help, and the flower should be thrown away with the soil and the pot so that it does not infect the remaining green plantations.

And although houseplants, in contrast to street plants, are very rarely affected by viruses, but this still happens.

In addition to viruses, there are fungal diseases of plants. The cause of the disease can become bacteria.

Fungi and bacteria, in contrast to the virus, which leaves on the leaves a mosaic pattern, cause putrefactive illness. With the spread of such diseases, it is not always possible to fight successfully. Especially it is difficult to do in unfavorable conditions of maintenance, such as dry air in the room, waterlogging the soil with a small amount of sunlight. Plant diseases in this case occur full-scale front, because the inhabitants of pots reduce immunity and feel "weakness" in both the trunk and in leaves. The same reaction is caused by improperly selected soil, a flower pot that does not match the size, a cold or an incorrect location.

The symptom of the appearance of fungi are yellow, brown or red small specks, which then increase - and the leaf dies. Most of the fungus are prone to orchids, anthurium, some palm and camellia. Therefore, it is recommended to inspect plants regularly, especially in winter, when they are more vulnerable. Timely detection of plant diseases can be eliminated, while its neglected state usually leads to loss of the flower.

The first step is to immediately stop watering the plant and remove the affected parts.

The most dangerous is rot, which at low temperatures and strong waterlogging can affect all kinds of houseplants, especially senpolia or begonias, which from the excess moisture begins the process of decay of leaves. And the reason for this may be getting the liquid on the pubescent leaves.

Very often the buyer brings home a plant that came to him directly from the greenhouse. And this means that it is not prepared for a room-style lifestyle, so it can experience oppression and begin to drop leaves.

In such cases, experts recommend partially changing the soil and feeding the plant. Sometimes the cause of the plant's "stress" may be a lack of nutrients and light.

Diseases of plants can be caused not only by waterlogging, but on the contrary - by the dryness of the air in the room. And this, in turn, is a very favorable environment for the appearance of pests such as a spider mite or thrips. Therefore, you should periodically spray the place where the pots are.

Due to the dryness of the air, a disease such as powdery mildew may begin in the plant , when white leaves appear on leaves, flowers or shoots, easily transported to other flowers even with the slightest draft. This is one of the types of disease that can be controlled by isolating the plant, removing the affected parts and periodically spraying with a drug that contains lecithin or sulfur.

Another type of plant disease, which is most often affected by our green pets, is a black leg, which is conducive to the compaction or overmoistening of the soil. As a result, the stem at the base begins to blacken and die, so when planting new cuttings, do not close them in the pot with polyethylene or glass.

The diseases of aquarium plants that can be caused by improperly selected soil, poor water quality, lack of any microelements, and lack of lighting are not uncommon. As a rule, the plant, having got into conditions different from optimal ones, suffers "stress", for some time it seems to freeze, then starts to degrade, and - if the habitat conditions remain the same - dies out.

Therefore, in the aquarium it is necessary to regularly replace water, remove rotten parts of the plant, and monitor the conditions of their maintenance.
