Zapolotsky's wife could not remain indifferent to the talent and mind of the great writer. Disorder led to a brief separation, during which the lyrical cycle was created. Ekaterina Vasilievna returned in 1958 to her husband. Two months later he passed away.

The legacy of Nikolai Zabolotsky is small. It includes only one volume of poems and poems. But the themes of his works are so diverse and multifaceted that, without a doubt, this poet can be attributed to the great masters of the artistic word of the twentieth century.
