"Dirk": a short summary. Rybakova "Dirk": a short retelling of the work

Many generations of people in childhood read the story of AN Rybakov "Dirk" - the first book of the trilogy "Dirk" / "Bronze Bird" / "Shot". All these books are addressed to the youth. The genre of the action movie chosen by the writer quite corresponds to this category of readers. The plot of the story is very dynamic, it captures from the very first minutes of reading. The theme of this article is a brief summary of the story we compiled for the above-mentioned story.

Rybakova "Dirk" immediately after writing in 1948 for many years became a youth hit.

The author of "Kortika" submitted literary peaks

What was the previous life of Anatoly Naumovich? The writer Rybakov (Aronov) can not refuse either courage, or business acumen, or human wisdom. At the age of 22 indiscriminately repressed, he was arrested in 1933, allegedly for counter-revolutionary propaganda, and in 1941, thanks to energy and dedication, he held the post of chief of the Ryazan regional road transport administration. The war passed from Moscow to Berlin, becoming a major, the chief of the auto service of the rifle corps. The banal phrase "A talented person is talented in everything" is about Rybakov.

Demobilized in 1946, Anatoly Naumovich immediately decided to create a story. This article is an attempt to present the reader with a brief summary. Rybakova "Dirk" (this is the first work of the writer) demonstrated to the general public that a powerful new talent has come into Soviet literature. Even then it was felt that this talent on the shoulder of the top of the human spirit.

Today the literary talent of the unyielding writer Anatoly Rybakov is not disputed by anyone. Forever went into the treasury of world literature, his famous tetralogy "Children of the Arbat" and a landmark novel about the Jewish sources "Heavy Sand".

Courage of talent

Let us recall one more fact from his biography. A real talent must not tremble before the mighty of this world. In this, Anatoly Naumovich was convinced. While working on the Children of the Arbat (published subsequently in 52 countries), he tried to insert a stick in the wheels of none other than the loyal author of the hymns Sergei Mikhalkov: "Are you arguing over Stalin?"

The answer from Anatoly Rybakov was immediate and exhaustive: "After all, Tolstoy is arguing for Napoleon!" This man, formerly repressed, once stood up when he was tried to destroy him; He was not hiding from the front; Did not bow his head and later - until the end of his days.

And after the war, the front-line soldier decided to write a story about pre-war childhood, apparently having written his short summary in the draft. Rybakova "Dirk" has absolutely unusual for Soviet literature, the plot and rhythm of the militant, which, in fact, served his popularity with readers and further contributed to the creation of the filmography of the story. After all, Anatoly Naumovich was a creative and energetic man.

Staging the plot

The first part of the book introduces us to the atmosphere of the 1920s. Correctly remind the reader: the action of the story takes place during the Civil War, which imposes an imprint on the summary. Rybakova "Dirk" immediately, from the first scene, introduces us to the main character, the boy Misha Polyakov. This Muscovite (Muscovite is also the author of the story) temporarily resides with his grandfather and grandmother in the provincial town of Revsk. Misha's father was killed in the tsarist hard labor, his mother, who worked in the textile factory from morning till late at night, had a hard time. Her parents took the boy to feed themselves and watch.

Misha Polyakov was an active, living child. The boy rose early on that morning, from which the story "Dirk" begins. A brief summary (A. Rybakova can not be reproached for being bored) will acquaint us with the boy's idea: it is unnoticed to cut off the flap from the camera, in order finally to make a coveted slingshot for himself.

In this case, by the will of chance, he sees something that was not meant for his eyes. And this serves as a plot for the story. It's nice, you must agree, to feel such dynamism of presentation on the part of the author. At least, this is promising. What does Misha see? A neighbor of his grandmother and grandfather, retired sailor Sergei Ivanovich Polevoy, is trying to hide something in an empty doghouse. This "something" turns out to be a trihedral officer's cortex with a bronze snake around the bone handle.

Sailor Field

In fact, in Revsk times, too, were not the most tranquil: in the district bandits wielded, in a direction to the city the White Guards tried to break through. New features are acquired by the intrigue of the story "Dirk". The summary (A. Rybakova features the skill of plotting) with detective detail will inform us that the leader of the bandits Valery Sigismundovich Nikitsky owns the scabbard's sheath and is keen to get himself a blade.

Obviously, there is some mystery with the weapon. In the past, Nikitsky was a naval officer on the same ship as the sailor Sergei Polev, the battleship Empress Maria. He killed the former owner of the dirk, the officer of the same ship. Sailor Field tried to stop the scoundrel, and they clung to a fight. However, this duel took place in a battle situation, and a sudden explosion tossed them in different directions, leaving one sheath and the other for the dagger.

The mysterious dagger

Coming along with the White Guards to Revsk, Nikitsky and his bandits are trying to master the cortex, but he does not succeed. Misha goes to Moscow with her mother. Sailor Field gives him a dagger. The boy hides it in the closet. Before donating, Sergei Ivanovich told him what he knew about the dagger.

Its handle is folding, inside is a plate with an engraved cipher. The key to this code, obviously, is on the scabbard. Owning both the blade and the scabbard at the same time is a necessary condition to recognize it. He clearly reveals some mystery, as in a mysterious story a reserved closed door opens a password-response.

Summary ("Dirk" Rybakov from now on becomes even more interesting) now he will take us to Moscow, to the courtyard on the Arbat. There is an apartment where Misha and his mother live. The blade of the dagger, hidden by Misha, found shelter in a secluded place, in the back of the cupboard. However, the sailor Sergei Ivanovich Polevoy hinted to the boy that the bandit Nikitsky had a batman who also served on the same battleship, named Filin. It was a real thread for further searching. The boy remembered that in his house just lives a man with the same name. He asked his aunt Agrippina Tikhonovna and found out that Filin had actually come to Moscow from Revsk.

Also the boy with the help of cunning learned about the service of Filin in the Navy. His son Borka, nicknamed Zhila (he was a huckster since childhood, was selling cigarettes and sweets on the market), he was interested in amateur staging of the play about "sailor's life". He for the props brought a ribbon with the inscription "Empress Maria". Thus, Misha's conjectures found the justification.

The Tale of Friendship

And the writer certainly managed to depict the story lines of the main character and his peers: Genka Petrov (the son of a machinist) and Slava Eldarov (the son of the chief engineer of the factory). They were three companions - do not spill water.

Yet a remarkable novel was created by the writer Rybakov AN - "Dirk". "How I understand what real friendship is" - essays on this topic were once popular in schools. Why are we? Yes, the fact that such an essay can be fully written, taking as a basis the friendship of Mishka, Genka and Slavka. After all, the strongest friendship begins precisely from childhood and sweeps through all life. This friendship also connected the writer with his peers from the Arbat yard. It is no accident that A. Rybakov, in the image of Slavik Eldarov, introduced features of autobiography. After all, Anatoly Naumovich's father, like Slavik, was the chief engineer in the production.

Our remark

In contrast to the story of Anatoly Naumovich, our summary is a story. Rybakova "Dirk", of course, more, more interesting, broader describes the plot. In the story there are many artifacts from the point of view of artistic description that we are forced to exclude from the narrative. After all, it must by definition be brief. In particular, we did not include in this article the description of Revsk and the events in it. We kept silent in our story about the unique courtyard atmosphere of the Arbat of the beginning of the 20th century and about the organization of the pioneer cell by three comrades: Mishka, Genka and Slavka. All this can be learned only by studying the full content. "Dirk" AN Rybakov, master of the artistic word and plot construction, wrote selflessly. We are sure that after this story you will want to read both "Bronze Bird" and "Shot".

In Moscow. The second and third parts of the story

Let us return to the plot of the first work of AN Rybakov. Three friends managed to track down that Filin in a secluded corner of the basement stores some heavy boxes, similar to coffins. Here, in the basement of his former batman, one day the leader of the gang, Nikitsky Valery Sigizmundovich, also proceeded. They both then went to the philatelic store. There, the old man, his master, kept a sheath from the dagger. Anatoly Rybakov described their uneasy design. A brief retelling (the work in the original describes the assembly in more detail) of what is said in the story about the scabbard can be imagined as follows: a rigid connection of fan-shaped unfolding plates (in the folded form - the surface of the scabbards), a ring fastening them, and a ball fixing the pointed part.

The boys managed to consider the assembly process, produced by the owner of the philatelic shop. To do this, they placed a fake advertisement box right in front of the shop window (having secured posters on both sides of the wheelbarrow, and in the middle, putting an observer). They with her help saw and heard how once Filin, going to the owner of the shop, long discussed with him some complicated mysterious code.

Shear control

The children established that the scabbard was transferred by the owner of the shop to Filin and vice versa through Borya Filin (the son of the former batman).

In the fourth part of the story, the boys have matured a plan how to get hold of the scabbard, playing on the greed of the young huckster - Borki. At the time when he was carrying scabbards from the owner of the store to his father, the guys offered him a car to buy at a bargain price. While they were haggling, their accomplice, a former stray guy who had worked out thieves' skills in the past, imperceptibly stole the scabbard from Borka and then handed them over to the boys.

Fifth part. Unsuccessful brainstorming and sudden help

The guys started reading books about the codes, but things did not go well ... The brief content of Rybakova's story "Dirk" will now describe the further logic of their search. By chance, it turned out that the director of the school Alexey Ivanovich recognized the cortex. To him the boys, who guilty of reading a book about ciphers at the lesson, were brought by the teacher. Alexey Ivanovich, possessing the system knowledge, deciphered the inscription on the blade and scabbard. It said that the handle of the blade with the snake served as a mechanical key for some watches that should have been started. The director realized that the business was taking a serious turn, so he brought the boys together with a "man from Petrovka," that is, an NKVD investigator, Comrade Sviridov. The director also found in the directory on information about the battleship "Empress Maria" that the name of the deceased officer, the owner of the dagger, was Terentyev.

How did the guys look for the Terentyev family? About this, we will be told the brief content of the story "Dirk". AN Rybakov fascinatingly tells about the further investigation of the guys. They built the version, assuming that the deceased officer was familiar with the family of Admiral Podvolotsky, whose granddaughter studied in the Misha class. The guess was confirmed. The widow of the admiral opened a box with letters, where letters from correspondence with Terentyev were discovered. She also told the boys that Nikolsky was murdered by the officer Terentyev, his brother-in-law, brother-in-law. As follows from the addresses on the letters, the Terentyev family lived in Pushkino.

The sixth part. Disclosure of circumstances of a crime

Let's continue with the brief description of "Dirk" (Rybakov) for the chapters, adhering to their order. The guys came to Pushkino, where they found the house where the mother of the deceased officer lived, Maria Gavrilovna Terentyeva. However, to their surprise, none other than Mr. Nikolsky came out of his door. The situation took a dangerous turn, because further search threatened them with a clash with the insidious bandit. Misha reported the incident to Comrade Sviridov. He recommended that the boys no longer go to Pushkino.

Detention and confrontation

The detained leader of the bandits, denying the accusations brought against him, claimed that he was a completely different person, the same name of the suspect - Nikolsky Sergey Ivanovich. However, the bandit was opposed by a solid evidence base, collected by the efforts of the boys, which Nikolsky did not suspect. The decisive role of the confrontation in this case narrates to us a brief content of the story "Dirk". Rybakov AN describes how it was organized by the investigator Sviridov. With the confrontation between Misha Polyakov and Nikitsky, the main character told the story of the raid of Valery Sigismundovich's gang to Revsk and showed the investigation dagger. Maria Gavrilovna Terentyeva learned the weapon of her son, witnessing that Nikitsky had become deceived into her house, calling himself a stranger's name.

Revelation

Mysterious watches were found in Maria Gavrilovna's house. They were old, tower. The handle of the dirk with the snake perfectly approached the groove of the clock. After her turn in the clock a cache opened. There lay the document to which Nikitsky was trying to get: the exact coordinates of the treasures sunk on the lost ships. Among them - the flagship of the sultan of the Crimea Devlet-Giray, whose treasure the criminal sought to reach.

Conclusion

So you learned the summary. "Dirk" Rybakov masterfully compiled and laid out a dynamic plot, in the first part entirely captivating the reader's attention and not letting him go until the end of the reading - until the sixth part of the story. In the design of the work, the potential and depth were felt, which influenced its continuation with the subsequent stories "Bronze Bird" and "Shot".
