In this article we will talk about Pushkin's novel "Dubrovsky". The analysis of the work, the characteristics of the characters and a brief summary will be analyzed very carefully. Also, let's present a short review of critical reviews of the author's work.

History of creation

The basis was laid the story, which Pushkin was told by his friend PV Nashchokin. Thus, the novel "Dubrovsky" has realistic roots. Analysis of the work therefore it is necessary to begin with this.

So Nashchokin met a Belarusian nobleman in the prison who had long sued his neighbor for the land, was expelled from the estate and then, after remaining with several peasants, began to engage in robbery. The name of the criminal was Ostrovsky, Pushkin replaced it with Dubrovsky, and the work of the work was postponed to the 1920s of the 19th century.

Initially, Pushkin titled the novel date - "October 21, 1832," which marked the beginning of work on the novel. And the well-known name was given to the editor before publication in 1841.

Abstract:

Even at school, children are studying the novel "Dubrovsky". The analysis of the work (Grade 6 - the time when students are acquainted with it for the first time) is usually done according to the scheme. And if the first item is a description of the creation story, then there should be a brief summary of the novel.

The landowner Kirill Petrovich Troyekurov, a retired general-anshef, a classic wayward and rich master, is pleased with his whims by all neighbors, and the provincial officials are trembling at the sight of him. He is friends with his neighbor and former comrade in the army service Andrei Gavrilovich Dubrovsky, a poor and independent nobleman, a former lieutenant.

Troekurov always had a bad and cruel character. More than once he mocked his guests. His favorite trick was to lock one of those who came to him in a room with a bear.

Development of action

Somehow Dubrovsky comes to Troekurov, and the landowners quarrel because of the servility of the guest servant. Gradually, the quarrel turns into a real war. Troekurov decides to take revenge, bribes the judge and, thanks to his impunity, otszhivaet Dubrovsky Kistenevka, his estate. After learning the verdict, the landowner goes mad right in the courtroom. His son, Vladimir's guards cornet, is forced to leave the service and come from Petersburg to his sick father. Soon the senior Dubrovsky dies.

The court officials come to arrange the transfer of property, they get drunk and stay overnight in the estate. At night, Vladimir set fire to the house with them. Dubrovsky, along with faithful peasants, becomes a robber. Gradually, he horrifies all the surrounding landlords. Only Troyekurov's property remains untouched.

The teacher comes to the Troekurov family to enter the service. Dubrovsky intercepts him halfway and bribes. Now, under the guise of Deforge, he goes to the estate of the enemy. Gradually, between him and Masha Troekurova, the daughter of a landowner, there is love.

Decoupling

It is best to consider the novel entirely. And the analysis of the work "Dubrovsky" by chapters will be quite problematic, since they are an element of one whole and lose much of the meaning outside the context.

So, Troekurov decides to marry her daughter to Prince Vereisky. The girl is against and does not want to marry the old man. Dubrovsky makes an unsuccessful attempt to prevent their marriage. Masha sends him a conventional sign, he comes to save her, but it turns out to be too late.

When the wedding cortege follows from the church to the estate of the prince, the people of Dubrovsky surround him. Vladimir offers Masha freedom, she can leave her old husband and go with him. But the girl refuses - she has already sworn an oath and can not break it.

Soon the provincial authorities are almost unable to catch Dubrovsky's gang. After that he dissolves his people, and he goes abroad.

An analysis of Pushkin's work "Dubrovsky": a theme and an idea

This work is one of the most significant in the writer's work. In it, Pushkin reflected many of the problems of his time. For example, the tyranny of the landowners, the arbitrariness of officials and judges, the lack of rights of serfs and robbery as a reaction to all these recalcitrant and courageous people.

The theme of robbery for the sake of good purposes is not new in the world and Russian literature. The image of a noble and freedom-loving robber did not leave romantic writers indifferent to many writers. However, this is not only Pushkin's interest in this topic. For many years, robbery was widespread in Russia. Robbers were former soldiers, impoverished nobles, escaped serfs. However, the people did not blame them for robbery, but the power that brought them to it. And Pushkin decided in his work to show why honest people have to go out on a big road.

Originality of conflict

We continue to describe the analysis of Pushkin's work "Dubrovsky." Grade 6, namely, in it they study the novel, is already familiar with such a concept as "conflict", so it must necessarily be considered.

So, in the novel there are only 2 conflicts, which differ dramatically both in nature and in social significance. The first has a vivid social coloring and is associated with class inequality. It is faced by Andrei Dubrovsky and Kirila Troyekurov. And as a result, he leads to a riot of Vladimir, who can not accept arbitrariness. This is the main conflict of the novel.

However, there is a second one, connected with the theme of love and family-household relations. It appears that he will marry Masha for an old prince in a licensed release. Pushkin raises the topic of female lawlessness, speaks of the inability of lovers to be happy because of the whims of their parents.

Both of these conflicts are united by the figure of Kirilla Troekurov, who caused the troubles of both Dubrovsky and her daughter.

The image of Vladimir Dubrovsky

The main character of the novel is Vladimir Andreevich Dubrovsky. Analysis of the work allows him to give a very flattering description. He is a poor nobleman, he is 23 years old, he has a majestic look and a loud voice. Despite his position, he has not lost his honor and pride. He, like his father, always treated well serfs and deserved their love. That's why they conspired with him when he decided to burn the estate, and then began to rob.

His mother died when he was only a year old. However, he knew that his parents were married for love. He wanted this future for himself, too. Masha Troyekurova became for him the one and only love. However, her father intervened in the matter. Vladimir made a desperate attempt to save his beloved, but he could not. His nobility manifested itself in the fact that he obediently left when Masha refused to escape with him. We can say that this hero embodies the notion of noble honor.

The image of Troyekurov

To expose such as Troyekurov, the novel "Dubrovsky" was written. Analysis of the work gives us to understand the baseness and lack of principle of this person. For him there is nothing sacred. He with the same ease is living with the light of his servants and friends. Even the death of a friend and a good friend did not stop his greed. He did not regret his daughter. For the sake of profit, Troyekurov condemned Masha to an unhappy life in marriage and deprived her of true love. At the same time, he is sure of his rightness and even does not allow the thought that he can be punished.

Roman in the evaluation of critics

What did the critics think about the novel "Dubrovsky"? Analysis of the work helped us understand that Pushkin wrote a fairly topical book. However, Belinsky, for example, called her melodramatic, and Dubrovsky hero, who does not cause sympathy. On the other hand, the critic highly appreciated the authenticity with which Pushkin portrayed Troyekurov and the landlord life of his time.

P. Annenkov noted that the novel has a romantic ending, incongruous with its content, but the characters described are distinguished by special psychologicality and certainty. A. Grigoriev also stressed the vitality of the situation described and the realism of the characters.

"Dubrovsky": analysis of the work in brief

If it is necessary to make a brief analysis. Then you can write the following. The main theme of the work is robbery in Russia. The idea is to show how people are on this path, and who is to blame. Pushkin tried to expose the power and show the social injustice that reigns around. In the product of two conflicts - social and love. The first is connected with the unlimited power of the propertied, and the second with full parental authority over their children. The main culprit is Troyekurov, who embodies the classic type of Russian master.
