Design of facades of buildings as a complex solution
The ways and types of interaction between architecture and design are so diverse as the interpretation of the very concept of "facade design" in the context of the aesthetics of the external appearance of buildings is also broad.
In recent years, there have been trends in the disappearance of borders between different types of design, even within the framework of one of its forms - architectural. Now the design acquires the features of a tool for creating and fundamentally improving the human environment.
The design of the facades of buildings is closely intertwined with the light (lighting system), graphic (from the use of special decorative elements, such as frescoes, to the artistic painting of walls), landscape design (unification, for example, park group and facade style).
According to a common joke, one of the tasks of the facade of the house is the ability to cover up the architect's flaws, if necessary. It is the style solution of the facade that is designed to eliminate the inexpressiveness of the general architectural composition, its visual "poverty".
A lot of accents and architectural details make it possible to create such a composite solution that, on the one hand, was oriented to the consumer, and on the other hand, would perform its task of visualizing the image. Thus, it is conventionally allocated six groups exposed to the elements. Namely:
- the so-called "entrance group", that is, the equipment of showcases, windows, doorways, entrances: stairs, fences, doors, protective screens, etc .;
- engineering equipment: antennas, air conditioning systems, security cameras;
- transforming objects of building design: glazing of balconies, loggias, "portals" and "pylons", cornice, pavilion structures and so on;
- street equipment: clocks, mailboxes;
- light design: lighting, lighting devices;
- art design.
The design of facades is noteworthy in that the status of objects in any group of elements can be extremely diverse, but roughly all of them can be divided into two large groups: unique design items designed for aesthetic effect and standard systems whose main task is functionality, ease of installation and Other similar characteristics.
